Chris Spielman Is Scaring Sean McDonough (And Everyone Else)
This clip is so ridiculous it's beyond me. Chris Spielman gets a great gesture from the soccer folks as Brandi Chastain autographs a ball and says Chris can give it to his daughter. Oh you want this ball? You're gonna have to set a new bench press personal record!
As if I need to even say anything now........
"OOOOOOH YEAH BROTHER...........IF YOU WANT THAT BALL THROW UP SOME STEEL."
This exchange reminds of something. In the 80's (maybe early 90's), SNL did a skit called the "Mike Ditka Type A Personality Christmas Special" With Phil Hartman as Ditka. He was handing out gifts to his family, which were just giftwrapped footballs. His son comes up:
Ditka's son: Gee Dad, is that one for me? Ditka: Well, I don't know son. Do you think you deserve it? Ditka's son: I don't know. Ditka: Yeah? Well come back when you do know.
That's old school right there. Making the kids pump some iron for their memorabilia. I love McDonough's reaction too. He is stunned.
ReplyDeleteSpielman is the best...unintentional comedy at it's finest.
ReplyDeleteI feel bad for his poor daughter. It must be terrible to have a father without a brain.

Sean McD's the best! His candor and humor on Red Sox telecasts are dearly missed.
