I could see ESPN do live coverage during the day, and NBC do coverage at night.pattywagonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01076183324744797762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28221516.post-29561845987873461572009-09-10T13:03:17.129-04:002009-09-10T13:03:17.129-04:00I would love ESPN's coverage! For me, I rather get crappy coverage that's live than great coverage that's delayed.Patrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03139650543113230797noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28221516.post-36970659670564874602009-09-10T10:30:31.377-04:002009-09-10T10:30:31.377-04:00Where did you get that the Olympics aren't as ...Where did you get that the Olympics aren't as much of a moneymaker? Were you around last summer when NBC was smashing ratings records left and right thanks to Mr. Phelps?

A better site had a nice article about this and the 2016 Olympics in either Rio or Chicago means a live, primetime Olympics...which means $$$$$$$$$$$$$.Sean OLearyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17167403223532467766noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28221516.post-43093912870203933532009-09-09T19:53:13.046-04:002009-09-09T19:53:13.046-04:00I think its gonna stay with NBC, but they will ove...I think its gonna stay with NBC, but they will overpay like crazy if the Olympics is in Chicago in 2016. With all the talk of ESPN buying almost every major sports property, keep this in mind that NBC has free up its 10pm time slot this fall in favor of the Jay Leno show. It could save NBC up to 3 million per day. So its likely that NBC will have plenty of money to keep the Olympics.YasinJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08883984852565613892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28221516.post-79111200015195191802009-09-09T19:21:14.449-04:002009-09-09T19:21:14.449-04:00ABC is not putting any money into an Olympics bid....ABC is not putting any money into an Olympics bid.
