Heslam is the "media reporter" for the Herald and she doesn't really report on much. This is the problem when you get to the Super Bowl or the World Series or Final Four. Editors start assigning reporters to write about things they have no clue about and TV statins send out the feature reporters for similar pieces.

It's really futile for Boston to try to one-up NY. Let's just take what we got and go with. As FJM pointed out, whether the rest of the country loathes us for it or not, this is a special time for Boston sports fans. Sure, there will be bandwagoners, just like every winning franchise has. It comes with the territory.

On the contrary, it's a crappy time for NY sports, other than this semi-miraculous Giants postseason. Mets had an epic blow up. Yanks struggling in the postseason. The Knicks have been the laughing stock of the NBA for most of the decade now.

As for the people.. I mean, it's six in one hand half a dozen in the other. The accents are different, but they're all basically the same typical north east ball bustin' assholes.

And as for the cities.. I love Boston, it's my favorite city.. but it ain't no NY, and even most Bostonians will concede that. So no need to bark up that tree.

I sorta can't wait for Boston to hold all 3 sports trophies (fuck hockey). We'll be epic douches. Maybe south park will write an episode about it. That'd be pissah.
