Celtics Fans Boo Stu Scott And David Stern

I've watched this video about 15 times now and I seriously can't stop laughing. Your team just one it's 17th National Championship and you have the where with all to stop and boo the hell out of Stuart Scott AND David Stern....

Hilarious. Can someone also explain to me what the point of introducing Stu Scott so he could introduce David Stern was? I also love the pause that Stuyah does waiting for the cheers, and then it's dead silent. Classic.

(That's the last of the Celtics videos for now, I promise. We'll be getting into our regular Wednesday now.)

  1. David Stern got boo'ed because no kid under 11 years of age on the east coast got to watch the Celtics win the championship. Stern the greedy had to start all of the games at 9pm. Mike Breen should have gotten up so he could boo'ed as well. What happened to the "Greatest Player on the Planet" Breen must have been getting paid by Kobe's consultant every time he said it. The Greatest Players on the Planet were wearing Green & White...Kobe may have the best tools on the planet...but that don't mean squat

  2. Does it really matter who the best player on the planet is when if either team won...they bought their championship?

    Thanks,

  3. YEAH CELTICS, TAKE THAT JEMELE HILL!!!!

EVERYONE KNOWS, BUT I WILL REPEAT....An ESPN writer named Jemele Hill wrote an article for Page 2 writing her disdain for the Celtics because she is a Pistons fan, fine. But in this article, she states that "cheering for the Celtics is like saying Hitler was a victim. It's like hoping Gorbachev would get to the blinking red button before Reagan." There is no humor in this. I'm not a fan of Don Imus in the slightest, nor do I have any problem with expressing free speech (im doing it now!). Ms. Hill does on the other hand. When Don Imus called the Rutgers Womens B-Ball team "nappy headed hoes," she was on the fore front of the fire Don Imus movement, even going so far to "not accept his apology." There should be no double standard. We should not accept her apology and ask ESPN to fire her, on principal for what she herself believes. What she said is just as bad as Imus's comment, plus she wrote an article, went through proofs, it was edited then printed. Imus's comment was said off the top of his head during a live show, she had time to change things, but did not. Help support the fire Jemele Hill movement. All the info can be found on the link below.

  4. Can we dispense with the 'bought championship' nonsense? Cleveland would kill for a bought championship.

  5. I'm a Jets fan. If they could buy a championship, it would be the greatest thing in the history of the world. Who cares how they got it? They still had to win the games.

  8. I think so called experts at ESPN should lose their expert status when the blow the picks. I mean, most of these guys are wrong ALLLLLLLLL THE TIME!!!!! Some experts they are. I pick the Lakers.....to LOSE!

  9. How come know one's brought up the fact that David Stern used the word Champy.

The Western Conference Champy LA Lakers.

  10. ABC's Stuart Scott?

The media and their all-important BRANDING is so fucking weird.

This is as good as the Ashlee Simpson boo-fest.

    Cheers Boston!

  11. Maybe the petition to get Jamele Hill fired will be as successful as the petition to have the last few minutes of the Super Bowl replayed.

  12. Judging from Anonymous 11:09 & pro in the other Boston post, today was AA's "Create The Column" contest.

  14. They booed the hell out of Stern and Scott?

    Talk about an exaggeration.

  15. I feel like the late games robbed me of these finals. I could not keep my eyes open beyond the 3rd quarter of any of the games and had to watch the rest of the game on my DVR the next morning. Not the same. ALSO if the late games were all about money...what about future money? They need kids to get into the games so they become fans for life. David Stern deserved to be booed.

I am so happy for this team and for Doc Rivers. Doc has weathered alot and so has Paul Pierce...they deserve it so much. All the naysayers don't deserve this celebration in my book.

  16. They boo'd Stern because he is a liar and a crook. Ask Seattle Fans what they think of Stern. He basically told them to F' off while he pushed for his buddy Clay Bennett to move the Seattle Sonics to Oklahoma. Stern is an evil man.

  17. What I don't understand about the Jemele Hill is how anyone can be so stupid to say that. Does she want to get fined and/or suspended and/or fired?

  18. Megan Boris reply:

Yeah, Cleveland would kill to buy a championship, but sadly none of their team owners will spend the money. It's really too bad because on all of our teams we've got some great potential in our young talent. They just don't have enough support and the owner's don't seem willing to spend the bucks to get them the support they need.

  19. Wow....I was beginning to hate Boston fans. But they do this, and also chant "You're not Jordan!" to Kobe....I just like Boston after all...

  20. Bought their title...now that is funny. I guess it is all in how you look at it. Allen and KG were up on the blocks for trades they weren't hired guns through free agency.

The teams that got rid of them traded for what they thought would be better players for their teams in the long run. What is wrong with saying we need to start over? What is wrong with a team that is rock bottom doing the same and getting the aging veterans that their teams didn't want?

They weren't sitting out there looking for the highest bidder...their teams were. So what if Boston made the trade even that happened in the days of old. Remember had it not been for snorting a line of coke Len Bias, the #2 lottery pick would have joined the world champion Celtics(86') and who knows how many titles they could have won. That was because of a trade that Boston had made with Seattle.

Let's get off our high horse and stop pretending that this isn't the way every team looks at it. Some chose to pay more than other and in Minnesota's and Seattle's case they were willing to give up aging talent to start and rebuild.

So is that Boston's fault? Or is it Minn and Seattle's fault?

To me trades and free agents are a little bit different...in a trade both teams get something in free agency a team is left high and dry. That is where a player is the hired gun....If you recall KG didn't want the trade but after realizing that he was going to be traded one way or another....why not go where you have the best chance to win?

  21. Uhhhh. I think they were saying "Trooooooooooth" as in "The Truth" as in Paul Pierce, who was about to be announced MVP.

    *shurg*

  22. So she referenced the Celtics to something that happened close to 70 years ago. Yes, it was tragic, and we all hate that it happened. But get over it. She's a bright, young writer.

  23. Bought? Give me a break. That's how championship teams are put together in most sports. You buy stars, buy coaches, buy franchises (like, oh, the Lakers!) Assomeone graciously pointed out, the Celts TRADED for KG and Ray.

  24. They are booing him because he is a jew. And people are tired of the jews controlling everything, and architecting america to benefit themselves above everyone else.
