Steve Phillips Will Strike Your Humor Down, Scott Reiss!

This clip starts out as any good old ribbing. Last night Scott Reiss was throwing it to Steve Phillips for one of those stupid mini field demos on Baseball Tonight when things got just a tad uncomfortable. Steve was supposed to be doing a piece on Kosuke Fukudome, but Reiss decided rub Steve's career in his face during the transition.

The joke is pretty funny, but there's one problem. Reiss calls Fukudome, Akinori Iwamura....



The look on John Kruk's face before the tension is priceless but the toss back after the schooling from Phillips is even better. Rule #1 when making fun of someone. Don't botch the lead up before the punchline....they'll jump all over you. And also, that was a pretty messed up dig at Phillips if you ask me.

Oh and Reiss....

    Reiss will always and forever suck! He's a no-talent wanna-be who tries to fit in, but can't because he has no friends. He's a permanent fill-in host and he can't even do that right, he needs to crawl back under the rock he came out from.

    I'm with Anon 5:24 (Don McNeil?) on Scott Reiss. With Steve Perfume switching to the 6-9 AM SportsCenter, expect to see more of Reiss on Baseball Tonight. I'd rather put Reiss & Ryan Burr on the same plane & ship them to the FSN Final Score.
