Skip Bayless Gets Blasted On Philly Sports Radio

Skip Bayless isn't someone to shy away from controversy, but for the first time in awhile, the ESPN talking was taking to task for one of his ridiculous comments. ESPN 950's, Mike Missanelli, took umbrage with a recent statement Bayless made about Philly fans, and even caused Skip Bayless to hang up on him. Here is the hilarious audio....



To be honest with you, I've been to every stadium in the NFC East except Dallas, and Philly was actually the tamest of the three. Obviously everyone has their own experiences, but there are really drunk people everywhere. Missanelli is right about the way that the media portrays Philly has gotten old, and he was right to call Bayless out.

Oh and "GOOGLE ME!" is my phrase of the day.

    I once wore an Eagles jersey to Giants stadium. I feared for my life! So national announcers who just want to make bad fan behavior a "Philly thing," need better understanding on what is going on elsewhere.

    The bottom line is any stadium has more than a handful of fans who will threaten you, dump beer on you, throw popcorn on you, etc. for wearing the opposing team's jersey. That's the risk you take.

    What really bugs me is when Skip kept asking "who are you?" You mean to tell me that Skip went on the air without knowing the name of the host? That's BS.

    Skip is such a tool when confronted to produce actual evidence to support his thoughts. Missanelli embarrassed Bayless.

    Ironically, I wore my Skins jersey to their game in Cincy last year and no one said a word to me. So either Bengals fans are the classiest in the world or they have lost the will to live.

    earlier this decade, the Raiders hosted the Dolphins in a playoff game (i know, right?)...so a young girl wore a Dolphins jersey to the game...she was sitting in the upper deck, not in The Black Hole....and she got URINATED ON!!!! it is not just a Philly thing

    To be honest.. I thought Missanelli was more of a jackass than Skip here. If anything, he just proved what kind of morons some of the Phily fans and some of the people who live in Philadelphia are.

    Note: I say some. Not all. I'm in Alabama, and we have some horrible college football fans in Alabama (Where they think they are god's gift to football) and Auburn (who sucks now), and they are jackasses too, but no where near as bad as LSU fans imo. I feel the same about Eagle/Phillies fans. Some of them are total jerks.

    Mike whateverhisnameis is a complete douchebag! The fact that he thinks he is taking a stand for Philly fans is such comedy. Skip couldn't believe he wanted proof over and over again. Lol! Everyone knows that Philly fans tend to be rowdy. This is not perception. It's reality. Or are you a bunch of pussies now? Take a pick. Skip is right, just another shock jock trying to make a name for himself.
    I agree with Alex. Philly looks like the jerks.
