  1. The best thing about Sunday Night baseball this year is, drum roll please, NO STEVE PHILLIPS!!! Fans rejoice!

  2. Someone forgot to tell ESPN that the Mets are gunna suck again this year.

And this is coming from a Mets fan.

  3. The Royals? Jeez, Greinke better be pitching that night if they want anyone to watch.

  4. That's two more times than I expected to read the word "Brewers" in that schedule.

I remember when they were never on ESPN (mostly because that was only like 3 years ago).

  5. Ah, the return of Quiet Sunday Night Baseball where the mute button gets a real workout. Mostly just so I can hear the SC Updates and commercials.

  6. Well, at least I now know which games I won't be seeing this year.... Sadly, since I am a Red Sox fan, I will be not seeing a couple of Sox/Yankees games. It'll be radio all the way those nights, and anything ELSE on TV the othrs. ESPN just doesn't get (in their arrogance) that these two announcers make the games IMPOSSIBLE to watch. It's really too bad that commercial sponsers don't take more of an interest in who/where their commercials are shown.
Those two people are obnoxious, uninfoirmed and obnoxious. Oh, and did I mention obnoxious?

  7. It's terrible that so many of those games feature at least one of the same teams in consecutive weeks. How bout some variety? You know, like the Marlins, Reds, Diamondbacks, Mariners, and many more?

I can't wait to see how much better the Fox schedule will be!!!

  8. @mtjaws: you think anyone would want to watch a Reds - Marlins game.

Reds fans wouldn't even want to watch a Reds - Marlins game.

  9. I agree with Matt. You say that you want variety until you tune into the game and realize that the Reds are playing the Diamondbacks. And then it's right back to (insert large cable network's $5,000 budget summer reality TV show that becomes the next Jersey Shore).

  10. That Easter Sunday opener is on NESN in New England, YES in the Yankees' territory, ESPN2 everywhere else.

  11. @Matt and Doc,

If you are a fan of baseball, you'll watch different teams and games. Every team has stars that no one else gets to see unless they play on national tv.

Wouldn't you want to see Felix Hernandez, or Dan Haren, or Aroldis Chapman, or last year's rookie of the year Chris Coghlan? Their teams never get shown, and we get stuck seeing 50+ NY, NY, and Boston games.

  12. Mets are on twice before the Phillies are on. Nice job ESPN.

  13. this is garbage. Only west coast trips are to LA teams. I hate this east coast bias crap. No one would want to see a 2 time cy young award winner in SF or matt cain (another all star) or pablo sandoval. The mariners will be better also. Cliff lee is up there. No lets way all NY and boston teams. Suck espn. i'm watching fox

  14. Again ESPN sticking to its true and tired formula of NY/Boston/no west coast teams.

Jon Miller is the Giants' home announcer for christ's sake! Why aren't the Giants on at all? Why don't they do flex games so if they want to make sure a certain pitcher is throwing they can make that game their prime time game?

Piss off, ESPN. Looks like I'll be buying the mlb package for my computer again.

  15. Because Western teams don't spend money on superstars and don't win a lot that's why they don't get on ESPN. I would love to Seattle, San Francisco or Colorado get on ESPN or even TBS, but the odds are remote.
