Video: Barry O Likes The Heels

Wednesday, March 18, 2009

So I figured everyone would be interested in all of Barack Obama's picks on Sports Center, and that I'd put up the video. We already knew his Final Four, but in the Final he likes UNC over Louisville for the Championship....

A Look Into Kornheiser's Bracket (And The Sports Gal's Too!)

Wednesday, March 19, 2008

Every year the Washington Post makes a huge deal about Tony Kornheiser's bracket. He writes all of these cute notes on it and everyone laughs at his silliness. Well let's take a look shall we (click for larger).....

Umm, this actually isn't that bad. Damn...I was all set to make fun of him. About all you can pick on is the fact that he lost his shirt at Belmont's track...that's no fun. Let's try the Sports Gal....

Final Four: UCLA, Memphis, UNC, and USC
Championship: UNC over UCLA

We went to bed and I was pumping milk for my baby for the following morning. Bill somehow found the porn awards on Showtime and decided to keep them on for about 20 minutes while I was pumping milk for our son. You're supposed to think about wholesome things when you're pumping because it helps your milk let down, but Bill had no problem watching a show with gross clips and disgusting awards and cracking jokes like "I hope Courtney Cummz wins this one, she's due."
Damn, I can't make fun of her either. Oh well.....anyone know where Wilbon's brackets are?

ESPN Meets Mr. Show? Please God No!

Tuesday, March 18, 2008

I'm never one to harp on people "selling out", but I might have to after this item. It's one thing for Nick Bakay, Frank Caliendo, or the Sklar Brothers to do so, but Mr. Show's Bob Odenkirk? Say it ain't so!

ESPN joined forces with Emmy award-winning director Bob Odenkirk (“Mr. Show with Bob and David”, “Saturday Night Live”) to bring the quirky world of “Bracketology” to life in a campaign, running on ESPN networks and online. It showcases the behavior of eight different bracketologist stereotypes – from the Alumnist, to the Fisherman, to the Mascotitian and more. The campaign’s website features each of these characters explaining his/her strategy. ESPN’s expert Bracketologist, Joe Lunardi, then provides his professional assessment. From the site, fans can fill out their own brackets, send mobile ‘smacks’ to their friends and study the habits of various bracketologists. For more information visit www.ESPNBracketologists.com.
I don't even understand what this website is about (it isn't working), but that paragraph just makes me sad. First David Cross was in Alvin and the Chipmunks and now this? What happened to comedy???
