I am a little surprised the Ga. Tech-UNC game was relegated to Raycom since both are ranked instead of being on ABC infavor of Clemson-FSU... Guess ESPN is thinking that is a bigger matchup.

I think MSU gets on BTN because every Big 11 team needs to have one of their home games on the network... and I guess this is the one that they are stuck with, but I may be wrong.

Also, Clemson-FSU was probably chosen more due to ratings... as you'll probably find a bigger range of fans across America for Clemson and/or FSU than you would for GaTech-UNC (at least in football).

Yeah, I was thinking it was probably a ratings thing over the significance of the game.

you idiots are just NOW figuring out that it's ratings over significance of game? ROFLMAO
let me guess -- you think espn puts college gameday on site of the most important game no matter what network will show it. LOL

No, you're right Scott. MSU and PSU are the only teams not to have a conference game on BTN yet - PSU gets theirs next week vs. Indiana.

GA Tech would bring in one of the four top 10 TV markets in the ACC, as would FSU so I dont know if I buy the ratings argument.

Actually, I think Raycom got first crack at games because they said last they would show GT / UNC, Clem/FSU or the UVA/Wake games, they would know on Sunday.

Sometimes they may decide coverage for games on future games. Next week UNC plays at Maryland, 3:30 in the reverse mirror game... so maybe they figure they'd give UNC to Raycom this week (and of course last week FSU/GT was the reverse mirror game.)

Maryland-FSU in a few weeks potentially could be a matchup with the winner taking the ACC Atlantic Division.

Pam Ward and the Wolverines deserve each other at this point. They show glimmers of competence, but wind up failing miserably in the end.
