Well if you thought that the on-air segment with Artie Lange was uncomfortable, you ain't seen nothin' yet. The comedic panel stuck around for "Joe Buck Show Overtime", and the insults just kept on a flyin'. The video is a bit choppy, but you'll be able to make it out....
Ummm....yeah. I don't even have words really. I'm hearing word that none of that was planned, or was it appreciated by Buck himself. So very uncomfortable. During the live segment it was kind of funny, but that was just downright uncalled for. By the end, it just seemed forced and venomous. Thank god for Paul Rudd's comedic timing. Good lord.
Douchey moves by Artie. At least Sudekis let him know he sucks. Artie can't get over that he started on MADtv, not SNL. Buck's a pompous ass, but it's his show, HBO's going to support it for at least a season and it's bigger than anything Artie has ever done. When Artie dies, no one's going to care like they did when Farley or someone with talent, but a heart, died.

ReplyDeletegreat tv!!! artie's awesome!!
ReplyDeleteArtie is great. They wanted him to come on, well, they got him.
ReplyDeleteI'll preface this by saying Dane Cook is the dregs of society. Unfunny cannot describe that asshat. That said, he's still funnier than Lange ever was, or ever will be.
ReplyDeleteBob Costas was the last great Roman emperor of HBO sports talk shows. Bryant Gumble and Joe Buck are fiddling as Rome burns.
ReplyDeleteBTW, HBO yaked the Overtime segement off their site as well as YouTube (copyright claim).
ReplyDeleteAnyone defending Joe Buck is a moron. He's the biggest self-righteous, no talent hack in the business. He is all kitsch and platitude and has no business being the marquis announcer for a major network. Sadly, I fear that him getting completely sodomized like that might lead to a wave of sympathy and even more cheesedick budweiser commercials featuring Buck.
