Jonathan Papelbon Is Not Impressed With The Yankees Offense
The Red Sox have owned the Yankees this year, so it came as no surprise that they shut the team out for their sixth win in the season series. The game was well in hand by the seventh inning, so much so in fact, that Jonathan Papelbon decided to take a cat nap. Via Sox & Dawgs....
Too funny. They should really just have a bed out in the bullpen anyway. It's not fair that players in the dugout have a whole clubhouse at their disposal, and relievers have to basically sit in the stands.
papelbon? r u crazy? he gets the job done and he shows some excitement...i can name a lot more douchebags...starting with his rivals Aroid and idk Joba who celebrates in the 4th innings of games when he's trailing cuz hes an egotistical moron like most of the other yankees...but sure criticize papelbon...who effectively performs, cares about his team, and has brought home a world championship
Papelbon may be a meathead, but he shows excitement at finishing a game off. K-Rod's a bit of a hot dog as well. Sam has it right when he notes that Joba goes nuts with a 4th inning strikeout. Yawn.
Biggest douchebag in baseball...and it's not even close.

ReplyDeleteI assume GMoney is referring to Barry Bonds, or possibly Scott Boras. Not sure what that has to do with this post, though.
ReplyDeletePapelbon had food poisoning that night. That could have been part of the problem.
ReplyDeleteI hate the Red Sox but if the Yankees don't pose more of a threat, I can't really blame Papelbon for catching a few Z's.
ReplyDeleteHe had food poisoning and was ill and wasn't going to pitch because of it.
