I have no idea why league websites always do this, but if you go to NHL.com right now, you can buy your very own Detroit Red Wings 2009 Stanley Cup Champions T-shirt! Take a look....
I mean, I'm rooting for them as much as the next person (sorry...have hated the Penguins since birth), but that could be a little damning. Hopefully they haven't planned the parade already too.

that's nearly as bad as Pierre McGuire saying "unmolested" last night.
ReplyDeleteYou can do the same for the Pens, too. They always pre-sell both, and then cancel the orders for the losing team.

ReplyDeleteI saw the advanced plans. Kwame Kilpatrick is still scheduled to address the crowd.
The parade will be one of the biggest in recent memories. But that's only due to that fact that the streets are lined with out of work auto workers.
ReplyDeletewhat a lazy, bullshit post.
ReplyDeleteWhere's all the talk about the rise in moral for Detroit's bleak economy if the Red Wings win? It was just a few months ago the Spartans were the feel-good story of the year for their run to the Final Four that was thought to saved the city. It is Hockey Town, USA, Right?

ReplyDeleteIf the Wings choke, expect to see children in Mozambique rocking those sweet looking shirts. I hope the Pens win, but we'll see what happens. This is a great drama for the NHL and I sincerely hope Bettman doesn't goof this up.
ReplyDeleteWhoops.
