Shawn Springs Makes An Unfortunate Joke On First Take

Shawn Springs always seemed like such a likeable guy to me, but he made a really bad joke on ESPN First Take yesterday. Host Dana Jacobson asked Springs who he would rather not play in the Super Bowl, and the cornerback had this to say....

“Well if it was me, I would hope a hurricane comes through.”- Shawn Springs

I get what you're saying, Shawn. As a defensive player you would hope the weather would affect the play of the quarterbacks. But, you seem to forget that a huge hurricane named Katrina went through one of the teams backyards not too long ago. Obviously not intentional, but he should of avoided that one.

  1. Answer the question, AA: Did Shawn Springs suffer a minor injury during the shoot that will keep him sidelined for 4 months because he is a pussy?

  2. I'm gonna take a little credit for actually making the video

  5. Shawn Springs was fine here. I would not call it an unfortunate joke at all. Because New Orleans was hit by a hurricane 4 years ago, you can't mention hurricanes and the city in the same sentence? Doesn't make sense. The only one in the wrong on this is AA.

  6. people bitch because in 2006 or 2007 this site actually added some value to the internets, now we are left going to this site out of habit and have to be reminded how much AA's opinions and writings suck.

BTW, you are allowed to say "jagoff" because you are allowed to say anything you want on cable. Cable channels choose to censor themselves. As someone who blogs about media this should probably be required knowledge.

  7. Over-sensitive and sloppy blogging. That's Reischea Candidate, not Dana Jacobson. Tighten up.

  8. The game is in Miami, anyway. Serious overreaction on what must have been a slow news day.
