At Least She's Not Wearing A Pink Hat

Before you view the video below, go read this.
Let's see...boyfriend/husband roots for the team? Check. Uniforms are pretty? File that one under "fashion" - check. The team's best player is hot? Check. It's the cool thing to do? Check. Yep, this meets Lozo's guidelines for a Girl Sports Fan to a T (what does, "to a T" mean, anyway?) Press play to witness the long descent into madness for yourselves.
The thing that gets me is that she's from the Midwest and uses the Kansas City Royals as a reason for not being a big baseball fan. Yeah, they've been bad since the early 1990s, but assuming she's within three or four years of my age (probably in the 24-30 range, right?), she grew up in the 1980s...when the Royals were actually good.
I can't wait until she and her family move back out there in a few years, the team makes a good postseason run, and she decides she likes them better.
(Much love to AA for the find on this one. He's obviously hard at work this weekend while I eat leftovers and listen to Johnny Cash on my iPod.)

GSFs just annoy the shit outta me. They're so goddamn transparent, and somehow get offended when they get called on it. I actually had one tell me once that she hated Scott Rolen, not because of who he played for, but because "he's soooo ugly!" Yeah, ok; whatever dumbass.
GSF?
Wow! What sad, lonely loser men! What, you guys look for random shit on the web, and comment, with no basis for said remarks?
Yeh, when you get married.... when is right. The reason your ex-girlfriends are exes is that you're making sterotypical remarks about girls. The Royals DO suck, and will suck. That's not a bandwagon, it's a dead, shot-to-fuck caravan that died on the Oregon trail. Shit is all cow bones and shit.
The girl that made the video, she's my sister. And her and I have been LIFELONG Chiefs fans. Through the Marty era and beyond. Every year, we don our red and black, chopping the air! So, who the fuck cares if my sister finally found a team, and a fanbase that she loves.
Besides, if you were from KC, you would to.......
And bitches, I was at the '85 World Series, but ya don't see me rockin my Royals hat "for fashion"!
Ha...we're the losers? Sorry but your sister is what's wrong with women in Sports. You know it, but you don't want to admit.
Thanks for reading.
Four points I would like to make:
1) Believe it or not, I am married. My wife likes the Red Sox and thinks her pink visor is cute. I hate her when she says things like this.
2) I have also been accused of being a bandwagon fan (and quite possibly am one) with regards to the New England Patriots.
3) I often rock a Washington Nationals hat for style. Lately, I've started wearing a Virginia Tech hat that I liked. My Red Sox hat fits funny. I don't know why I'm telling you this.
4) Read that link I provided, then watch the video. Like it or not, your sister appears to fit all requirements of a Girls Sports Fan.
For the record, I enjoyed this video. The music was a little much, but it's creative and interesting (as AA said when he emailed it to me, "It's like a play"). And because of it, I've taken the time to watch everything else she's posted on YouTube.
'Cause, you know, I'm a loser who has nothing better to do on the weekends.
hahaha. great work, fellas.
you're always going to get blowback when you discuss something as taboo as this. but it's important to get the GSF info out there. Knowledge is power, and knowing is half the battle. Or something.
Okay, my sis went a bit overboard...I am the one who posted the video. I would, if I may, just like to point out a few things.
The anger comes from getting slammed as being a GSF, as you call it. Fans are fans, but whatever.
The video I put up is suppose to be funny! That's it. For clarification, (those that need it, or care) I was just trying to be creative, not get hated on. I realize there are many girl fans out there that just wear a hat and know little else, but even if that is the case, who cares. I, despite what I made it look like, am not one of those.
Truth, I never gave a shit about baseball, my mom raised me on football and I have been a die-hard chiefs fan since I can remember. I joked about being a Yankees fan, because honestly...it WAS just what seemed like the cool thing to do. But...now, since I was exposed to baseball (in great quantities) by my husband, I love it. Call me what you want, but I watch at least 3 games a week, even when my hubby isn't home and know just as much about the Red Sox as the usual fan.
Whether the girls are in it for the fashion, guys or more..who cares. Just chill out and let us each enjoy sports the way we do.
Amazing. I could never marry someone who would drop their sports teams for mine. Part of the fun I've had with some of the girls I've dated (in both L.A. and my current locale) is that they are Dodger fans and I start hating.
Of course, the majority of chick Dodger fans I've met are GSFs.
