Skip Bayless' Act Is Just Plain Comical At This Point

Tuesday, July 22, 2008

Everyone knows that Skip Bayless is a sensationalist and goes way over-the-top to portray his hatred of all things Terrell Owens, but this display just made me laugh. At the end of First Take, Dana Jacobson passed along the T.O.-Sam Alipour story and gave Skipper the chance to admit that Owens actually did something good. Bayless instead tried to take the angle that anyone would have helped a man hit by a car and even suggested that T.O. knew that it was a reporter that was hurt and in turned helped him because of it....

Irrational hate is one thing but this level of bias is just unhealthy. Not to mention that it has absolutely zero place in reporting (not that ESPN cares). He's just one person who's employment continues to amaze me.

I normally wouldn't even draw attention to his idiocy but this one just made me laugh so much that I had to share. I personally loved the comparison to someone who was in the woods. That's just too rich Skip....toooo rich.

Chances Skip Bayless actually believes anything he says = .03%

This is the same thing as Bayless maintaining T.O. had the "quietest 120 receiving yards ever" when he came back from a BROKEN ANKLE to play for the Eagles in the Super Bowl. What a douche.

This is why Skip makes the list.

I bet that Skip downplays Jesus's resurrection.

"Clearly he faked his own death and ascension because he knew that his followers were watching. What a shameless excuse for self-promotion."

I don't like TO either, but c'mon! you've got to be fair and give the man some credit. How the hell is this even up for debate? Skip is an assclown who has no business being working at ESPN. He should work at Applebee's or something.

He better watch it - Dana sounded like she was ready to kick his ass.

Everytime I see this jamokee, I find it amazing that his brother Rick received all the talent in their generation of familial offspring. Rick's amazing talent for creating authentic Mexican cuisine draws a crowd night in and night out at Topolabambo & The Frontera Grill in River North of Chicago.

Kind of a tragedy the way Skip is as untalented at his craft, as his brother is talented in his chosen field.

@clinton tyree

Rick Bayless's chicago eateries are astoundingly overrated. They're tourist destinations now.

However - that doesn't overwhelm the fact that Skip's brother is one of, if not, THE foremost American authorities on Mexican quisine because he travels there extensively, does his homework, researches tastes and trends and customs.

I don't think it's beyond the realm of idiocy to suggest that if Skip had even a tiny percentage of Rick's willingness to learn something new once in a while rather than react to whatever nonsense he came across it'd be a different story.

That whole panel is everything that is wrong with ESPN. Dana Jacobsen has become an embarrassment, Jay whatshisname claiming a professional athlete is owed some thanks/karmic brownie points for doing what any oxygen breathing human would do in the same scenario and a couple of nameless black men in expensive suits yammering.

The entire clip is digusting.

Let's not forget Skip's statement to Jamele Hill and Sage Steele a couple of days ago when he said he looked better than Hill because he had a better tan

Tell Danica to start driving and stop sideshowing. Until she wins a race that wasn't a mathematical's funny how slow her car is with her behind the wheel...she's a pretty little raven-haired five foot blowupdoll.

Bayless is a little girl.
Who's to blame for all these doucheface sportswriters on TV? Mark Shapiro --- phony boy wunderkind -- who brought them to ESPN so HE HIMSELF would get friendly press. Shapiro now oversees Six Flags, a company whose stock now trades at 80 cents a share. Some freaking wunderkind!!

Me-O is the biggest jerk in NFL history.

That said, let's hope the jail cell that Me-O will soon call home for the rest of his life comes complete with Skip Bayless bent over and grabbing his ankles.

Skip Bayless is an ass and gives you an excellent idea of what the cesspool known as ESPN under Georgie Boy, Mike Tirico's personal sexual assault counselor, is really like.
