X-Games Big Air Produces Another Insane Crash

Thursday, July 31, 2008

This event is just about the craziest thing I've ever seen. Last year it was Jake Brown falling four stories to the bottom of the ramp and this year it's Danny Way with another massive wreck. I can't even describe it. Here's the video....

First of all, that flip across that huge gap was ridiculous, but dropping two stories onto your shins? F that. Oh and get this....he came back and did another 3 runs, crashed again, and finished second. That's just madness.

Danny Way is to Joe Theismann as the X Games Ramp is to Lawrence Taylor. Ouch.

That might leave a mark. It's more amazing that he came back and finished second after that crash.

This has better serious injury potential than NASCAR.

"standing in full standing ovation"
"that can't be good on your feet"
That's some high quality X-games announcing right there. LOL

I like how when he's laying on his back, there is an ad for nowwhat.com behind him.

Also I know Sal and what's his face covered it with somber voices, but I'm still waiting for them to be like yoo dude, that was a gnarly crash. whoa.

i think if you can make one run on that monster without crashing and dying, you deserve an x-games medal.

The best part about him coming back and winning the medal was that his medal winning run was his next run after the crash, right after he threatened the medics to let him out of the Med Room. And he did the exact same run that he did when he ate it.

I was honestly mostly watching because i expected something like this to happen.

Man, that view from the top of the ramp, around the start of the video...I never realized how freakin' humongous those ramps are.
