An Announcer Gets His Own Line of Clothing

Wednesday, March 21, 2007

Really weird things are going on in Buffalo. Sabres Announcer Rick Jeanneret is getting his own line of clothing in the Arena Store....

The Sabres, beginning with Wednesday's game against the Washington Capitals, will be unveiling the "RJ Collectibles' line of hats and T-shirts. The merchandise, named after legendary Sabres' play-by-play man Rick Jeanneret, features such sayings as "Now Do You Believe" and "These Guys are Scary Good."
How much you ask? $20. I'll pass, but if you're a Sabres fan than this might be your bag. Apparently this guy has said some interesting things in the past....

"ARE YOU READY LEGION OF DOOM? HERE COME THE BUFFALO SABRES!"

"DANNY BRIERE IS THE COOKIE MONSTER!!!!!"

"HOLY ZHITNIK!"

and my personal favorite......

"THERE HAVE BEEN MORE CHEAP SHOTS IN THIS GAME THAN IN A MEXICAN CANTINA DURING HAPPY HOUR!!"

(P.S.- I couldn't find the shirts so you get that sweet Sabres Leather Jacket instead. Do you want see the back view?)
