TNT To Re-sign Barkley Soon
Tuesday, February 26, 2008
According to Sports Business Daily, Charles Barkley is set to be re-upped by TNT later this week and part of his new contract will have him making face time on NBA TV....
Turner is close to re-signing NBA analyst Charles Barkley to a multi-year deal that will see the Basketball HOFer appear on both TNT and NBA TV, according to well-placed industry sources. The deal, which will pay Barkley mid-seven figures per year for at least the next four years, is expected to be finalized this week. The deal is significant for NBA TV, which has been coveting the popular sportscaster since January when Turner agreed to take over the operations of NBA TV and NBA.com.I personally can't get enough of Chuck, and while NBA TV isn't necessarily bad, it could use some spicing up. I'd love to see Barkley and Snapper Jones debate about anything. Actually they should be running mates when he runs for Governor of Alabama!

Still a bargain at that.

That "mid-seven figures" will belong to the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel in no time.

It should be re-sign...
If it's resign, it means he quit.
