And Your Monday Night Football JV Team Is......
Wednesday, June 20, 2007
There are two Monday Night games on September 10th this year, and thus a backup team is needed. ESPN is tabbing it's resident gophers for the job and pairing them with an ex-coach and my muse.
The Leader plans to announce today that the team will consist of play-by-play Mike Greenberg, analysts Mike Golic and Mike Ditka and sideline reporter Bonnie Bernstein. They will make their debut on September 10th for the Arizona Cardinals vs. San Francisco 49ers game The game will be second in the double header on ESPN and will start around 10:15pm.
You can add "Backup MNF Team" to a Mike & Mike resume that includes cow milking, Arena Football, and the National Spelling Bee. Good times. Can't Football start already? And how about we just call Bonnie, Mike Bernstein to make it 4???

Looks like the Hoover's retirement from NFL sideline reporting was just as suspicious as Jordan's first retirement from the NBA.
what's really amazing is that they're now broadcast in high definition on espn in the morning.
Bonnie Bernstein is the modern day Suzanne Somers...the older she gets, the hotter she gets.
This truly is going to be a disaster for the all of 15 people who stay up to watch any of Arizona-San Francisco on Monday night.
That Nutri-system stuff Golic is taking is workng like gangbusters!
When I heard Mike and Mike announce their gig this morning, my first thought was, "That is going to be a disaster." And Mike Ditka only compounds the awfulness: I can't stand to hear his regular commentaries on ESPN and Chicago sport radio during the NFL season--his extended answers are just short of incomprehensible babble. Thank goodness they're doing a game that all 50 die-hard fans on the West Coast will be watching anyway.
They're trying to make mike & mike do everything! Brad Nessler please!
