My favorite part of ESPN's baseball broadcasts..."D" rate players such as Candy Maldonano telling me how to play the game.
Yeah, if you knew so much then how come no one wanted to keep you around on their club? Oh yeah, it was that career .250 avg.
Also, could ESPN had been trying any more to make the SF-LA game a Dodgers broadcast? I watched with the sound off while trying to check out MLB.com's mosaic feature, and all I saw were former Dodger players, Torre, shots of their retired numbers around Dodger Stadium, etc. Pretty much nothing about SF other than who was batting maybe or knocking on Zito while he was in the dugout (which he is a complete bust anyways.)

The best announcing came from the local SF Giants announcers, Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper. In the 2nd or 3rd inning, they were talking about the dodger dogs and the all you can eat pavialion. They said that in the 7th and 8th innings, that the fans would throw them in the bullpen and that there were weiners all over the feild.

I've noticed WGN's Len Kasper refers to Kosuke Fukudome almost exclusively by his first name(pronounced KOHS-KAY). Is this a deliberate effort by the Cubs to make Fukudome he next 'Ichiro'...or does Kasper also have Caray-esque issues with the correct pronunciation of 'Fukudome'?
