Dan Patrick's Replacement Officially Mike Tirico
Monday, September 17, 2007
I guess the whole hang up was the amount of hours because according to The Big Lead it was a two-hour program instead of the originally offered three, that got Tirico to the table. He begins on Thursday, September 20th at 1pm, and will go to 3pm.
"With Monday Night Football, the NBA Finals and now a daily radio platform, Mike Tirico has arrived at the pinnacle of sports broadcasting with premier assignments in television and radio," said Norby WIlliamson, executive vice president, studio and remote production. So that solves it.....wait a tic.....there's an hour missing there. If Tirico takes up only two of the three hour spot....Uh oh......
Added Traug Keller, senior vice president, production, business divisions: “Having a daily radio show hosted by Mike Tirico will cement our position as the sports listen of record in mid-day talk radio. And, Stephen A. Smith’s strong voice will be a welcome addition for our national radio audience.”

Lost in the shuffle here is just how god awful John Seibel is. I've never heard anyone who knew this little about sports. Even Steve Phillips.
Tiricio is Italian.
I stand by that.
How many times will SAS use "I DON'T KNOW, BUT!"
Yeah, that voice, it's... uh... strong. For sure.

WHEN and WHY did a TV network decide to put its best people on radio?
If radio's the place to be, why doesn't Chris Berman do radio?
Put Parcells on radio - he blows!
Parcells does a show on ESPN Radio. Its on Friday Nights with Chris Mortensen and Keyshawn Johnson
funny how they pair a very bland black guy's show with a very, uh, let's say stereotypical black guy' show.
