When Sideline Stunts Go Horribly Wrong

Monday, November 19, 2007

This my friends is FSN's Sideliner Jim Knox. He's in Manhattan, Kansas for the Kansas State - Missouri game and wants to take part in the KSU tradition that is......well, I don't know what it is...."Couch Crowd Surfing"?

Anyway(s), you can see this coming a mile away.....

Yes...that was actually broken on a blog 2 weeks ago. Everyone knew it was coming.

I hate sideline reporters.

I liked the one from the AZ State/Oregon. Erin Andrews (?) went into this pre-preprared, rehearsed spiel about why Arizona State's mascot is called the Sun Devil--complete with a 20-second shot (it seemed like) of the AZ State mascot.

Meanwhile, Dennis Dixon was being helped off the field.

In retrospect now, ESPN missed what was perhaps the most impactful play of the college football season for this bullshit. He was obviously hurt before the sideline report started, but, hey, the show must go on!

And, in a completely unrelated matter, ARod is the front page headline story on ESPN.com right now (but not "for the love of rod").

It never ends.

ESPN, doing what it always does, is trying to create controversy about A-Rod not getting all the votes
