It's The Lake Show And The Celts For The NBA Title

Friday, May 30, 2008

Just an amazing Eastern Conference Finals Game Six. The Pistons and Celtics traded the lead multiple times throughout the night but in the end the Boston's Big Three and bench were just too much. A 29-13 4th quarter led to this subdued celebration....

That celebration compared to Lakers one seemed all business didn't it? With that said it's just a great story for three of the NBA's hardest working and classiest players to finally make the NBA Finals, and the league got what it wants. The Finals get underway this Thursday and prepare for a ton of live-blogs and open threads my friends.

It's the Lakers, It's the Celtics....on ABC....NEXT! (That just gave me goosebumps)

If by all business you mean Pierce exclaiming "Wooo! 10 long years baby!" like he just won the chip and not merely the Eastern Conference Finals and Doc and Pierce hugging each other and jumping around like giddy children, then yes it was so much more subdued than the Lakers, who won at home and thus had a bigger presentation and more pomp for the home crowd and whose coach and stars immediately made it clear they aren't celebrating just yet (unlike the Celtics when they showed them chanting Beat L.A. all over Sportscenter and that will likely be shown ad naseum until Thursday), particularly Kobe by leaving his Western Conference champs hat at the interview podium.

Well now, I can devote my full attention to the Tigers run to the division title. Wait. What?

I miss Ralph Wiley for matchups like this; all you need to realize is it's bad MJ versus good MJ to get hyped up.

This is one of his last articles: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=wiley/040507
