Your First Look At The 2008 MLB Postseason Campaign
Monday, July 14, 2008
I figured since I just gave you the news that the Frank TV ads were back that I'd give you some good news. No Dane Cook this year! Big League Stew has the ad that will be gracing your television over the next few months on FOX and TBS....
Okay seriously, what was that? I hate to say this but I miss Dane Cook. Well that's not entirely true but if I had to choose between the two I might have to consider picking him over this random dude typing ala a blogger/reporter.
Update: Thanks to the sleuth-like abilities of all of you we learn that the gentleman in the ad is "Spanish" from Old School. Good work.

Cowboys To Add Cooking Show To Their Summer TV Endeavors
Wednesday, May 21, 2008
The team that you are undoubtedly just completely sick of by now (unless you're a fan) is planning on adding to their busy Summer TV schedule. The Dallas Cowboys will not only be on HBO's Hard Knocks, but they'll be on a cooking show as well. Seriously.
Call it "Dancing with the Stars" meets "Iron Chef."No boundaries huh? You can say that again. I honestly could get into "Cooking with the All Pros" if it varies teams. You could have Laurence Maroney teaching us how to make Kool Aid properly, or a whole Campbell's Soup segment with Donovan McNabb and his mom. I think the Patriots and their Humble Pie episode would be huge. The possibilities are endless!
But in reality, the working title for a new television show scheduled to be filmed in Dallas is "Cooking with the All Pros." Here's the recipe: Grab some Dallas Cowboys. Toss in some contestants. Place them before television cameras and let them cook.
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten has tentatively agreed to approach teammates and former Cowboys standouts to appear on the new reality TV show, which will pair fans with players, and pit them against each other in cooking competitions, according to those involved in planning the show.
"I've done maybe 150 hours of network TV in my lifetime, but it's the first time we've head-on tackled a reality show with stars and contestants with cooking elements," said Barry Mendelson, president and founder of the Mendelson Entertainment Group LLC, which plans to produce the show in Dallas. "It's a blending of a lot of things. That's what TV is today. All these barriers have been broken. There are no boundaries anymore. I find that to be real life."

Bill Simmons (Lightly) Jabs Back At Dane Cook
Tuesday, October 09, 2007
It's about time we started getting this war going. Via TBL comes this little tidbit from the newest BS Report. Seth Meyers is on to talk all things SNL with Simmons when all of a sudden Simmons decides to pitch a skit.....
BS Report Audio
“We’ve all seen these baseball playoff commercials where Dane Cook pretends to be such a big baseball fan, even though we’re not sure if he could pick Albert Pujols out of a police lineup … so this week’s host is shooting one of those the baseball commercials, except he keeps screwing up the names really badly (absolutely butchers Rivera, Papelbon, Pujols, Sabathia, etc). And the director has to keep interrupting him. And then it goes on for three minutes.”Oh Snaaaaaap......wait. That's not really funny. In fact that's perfect for the current crappy cast of SNL. Dammit Bill! I wanted you to take that ass clown down....now all Dane Cook has to say is what he said before, "Who's Bill Simmons?". Someone needs to stop Dane Cook and apparently it's not Simmons. This upsets me greatly.
