You fit in perfectly with the terrible ex-GM and the person who just now decided to bring up the fact that his ex-teammate did steroids.

I'd love for someone to tell me who to believe at the "Leader" (Besides Buster Olney and Peter Gammons....they are the only people I will never doubt). They have multiple resources which are left untapped because they are afraid of what people will think. So what you hired to ex-Steroid users? Use them to your advantage and provide the public with some useful knowledge for once. Don't wait a week and then do it.

I'm sure Vina's attorneys are telling him not to go on air, but don't you think ESPN could give us a little more information than this?

I thought it was interesting that Steve Berthune still called him an analyst for ESPN, so I'm guessing he hasn't been let go as of yet. Still it would be nice for one of the thousand reporters the "Leader" has on this case to hunt Vina down.

There's obviously a huge backlash coming in the wake of the Mitchell Report being released and there are a few members of the media that have some explaining to do. Most notably David Justice (YES) and Fernando Vina (ESPN). ESPN chose to keep Fernando under wraps yesterday, but Justice was on the YES Network to explain that he never took HGH or any drug....

So Justice addressed the issue with a pretty steadfast denial, but where is Vina? Just like the Golic Steroids issue a few weeks back we have another instance where ESPN isn't tapping into one of its own resources on a particular issue.

As far as Justice, I think he falls under the category of not really knowing what the drug was. I think you'll find that a good number of older players named will be taking this stance of ignorance in the coming days. And to honest....it could be pretty valid.

There are so many articles out there on how far Baseball Tonight has fallen. Some blame it on John Kruk....others can't stand Steve Phillips, but as a whole the show has just lost that panache it once had. And with that said, I'm giving you the video to prove it.

So Tiki is officially a Peacock now. He joins such luminaries as Matt Lauer, Jay Leno, and Carson Daly. The details of the contract are scarce but he is said to be making in the $2.5-3 Million range. The interesting thing is/was that he turned down a more lucrative offer from ABC/ESPN (4 Years-$10M). Very interesting Tiki......very interesting.

Good move by Tiki I say. In related news (not really) Baseball Tonight is adding yet ANOTHER analyst. This time it's Fernando Vina......wait......Fernando Vina?!?!?! Yep.

A two-time Gold Glove winner and former Mets infielder, Viña has agreed in principle to a contract with ESPN that would make him the newest analyst on Baseball Tonight. He will also appear on SportsCenter, ESPN News, and ESPN Radio.

What does that give them now.....29 Baseball Analysts.....cause that's necessary.
