Tis The Bowl Season, You Know What That Means?
Thursday, December 20, 2007
It's time for the Pammy Awards to head into overtime! Here's how it's going to go down. I think we'll have a running Top Ten quotes of the Bowl Season, and anytime someone says something good will just add it to the list, and bump others off. At the end of the Bowl Season we'll have our winner.
Sounds fun right? Right. I'll either have a live-blog or open thread for every game (or set of games), so you can all chime in. And guess what? It starts tonight with the Bowl Game to end all Bowl Games......
It's Navy......It's Utah.......It's the Longest. Bowl Game Title. Ever. The San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl!!! Below is what you need to know and I'll see you at 9pm (I thought it was at 7pm but I was wrong) and bring your egg nog.

The awesomeness of Lou Holtz on display tonight
Yes...it seceded from the Union. You can put me on the list in the #1 spot to start off the season.
I just saw the commercial during the Poinsettia Bowl.....why in God's name is Stallone in another Rambo movie?
HGH bills? Trying to start up another psychic line for his mom?
Why we all love ESPN's "platforms of broadcasting"...watching the finish of the Pitt-Duke hoops on ESPN and the ticker on the bottom of the screen says the Poinsettia Bowl coverage is currently on ESPN360...whatever...I don't watch tv on the computer...anyway, for over fifteen minutes the ESPN ticker is saying the kickoff is at 9:12 pm...so at 9:12 pm when the hoops aren't over yet, the ESPN ticker comes across saying the Poinsettia Bowl can NOW be seen on ESPN Classic and ESPN 360...I immediately turn on Classic so I can catch the kickoff...and Navy is already returning the kick. So, ESPN spent more than fifteen minutes saying when the kickoff would be...and then told people who had access to Classic the game coverage could now be seen there...only when you turned on the game you already missed the kickoff. I also saw the Rambo commercial. He would go to Bristol, Connecticut and lay waste to the whole ESPN complex, no matter how old he is now.
San Diego is a country now?
