Your NFL Announcing Schedule Week Seventeen

Wednesday, December 26, 2007

This schedule is actually a work in progress involving a few educated guesses on the FOX side. I know all but two of the teams, so I'm taking a stab with CAR-TB and SF-CLE. I'm pretty sure they are right, but I'll have to wait until FOX sends out their press release.

Our final schedule of the season is brought to you by YOUR Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders (yep....trying the reverse jinx again).

Saturday: New England @ New York - Bryant Gumbel, Cris Collinsworth

Sunday, 1PM Games

CBS:

Jacksonville @ Houston - Dick Enberg, Randy Cross
Cincinnati @ Miami - Gus Johnson, Steve Tasker
Buffalo @ Philadelphia- Kevin Harlan, Rich Gannon

Detroit @ Green Bay - Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston, Tony Siragusa
San Francisco @ Cleveland - Matt Devlin, JC Pearson
Carolina @ Tampa Bay - Ron Pitts, Tony Boselli
New Orleans @ Chicago - Dick Stockton, Brian Baldinger

Sunday, 4PM Games

San Diego @ Oakland - Greg Gumbel, Dan Dierdorf

Thankfully, Commissioner Goodell came to his senses and put the Pats-Giants game on places where everyone can watch.
Now if he only had the authority to replace Bryant Gumbel before Saturday.

I am going to make an educated guess and say that Vasgersian and Pearson will work the St. Louis-Arizona game. I think we might see Chris Rose end up working with Terry Donahue in Cleveland, although I would not be surprised if Devlin ended up working that game.

On a second thought, Fox might decide to send Albert, Johnston, and Siragusa to Cleveland with the playoff implications in that game. That would mean a drastic move of one of the other teams.

An interesting note: all of the late games this Sunday start at 4:15 PM ET.

Albert, Johnston, and Goose have already said they are doing the Packer-Lion game. The Brown game has no playoff implications (the final playoff spot depends solely on the Tennessee-Indianapolis game - barring a TEN-IND tie)

AA- i can tell u based on comments I heard from Sam Rosen and Kenny Alberts in WFAN interviews this week as well as checking out team websites that you got everything right except for Sea/Atl. I havent seen confirmation of that crew anywhere other than here. FOX put Vesgersian and Donahue together on the Arizona game because they are calling the Fiesta Bowl later in the week. Thats why Devlin is with Pearson (confirmed on 49ers website). The Carolina website confirmed their announcers to be Pitts and Boselli.

Keep up the good work

Thanks JW.....that's where I found most of the info....from the releases.

I called in a couple of favors here and there as well. CBS is much more forthcoming than FOX.

All late games at 4:15 p.m. EST this week because CBS and Fox both have doubleheaders, not one network.
