Robert Flores The Ventriloquist Dummy

Monday, March 23, 2009

Technical difficulties happen a lot on live television, but when someone can do their bets to have fun with them, it makes you enjoy the telecast even more. Sage Steele and Robert Flores were on the 12 O'Clock Sports Center today, and when Sage tried to give a report on Curt Schilling's retirement, all hell broke loose! The camera first showed the side of her, and then moved to a stunned Flores. Instead of panicking, Flores tried to mouth the entire story, and then moved right into his portion flawlessly. Via TSB....

Too funny. He almost looked possessed there for a second.

Someone Should Probably Check ESPN's Robert Flores for the Mark of the Beast (The Sporting Blog)

He looks like he is about ready to bust up laughing. Credit to him for not laughing.

That is tremendous. He definitely scored some bonus points with management on that one.

I still don't think that Sage Steele knows what a football is.

That was great. I also like how the sidebar has highlighted "Edwards Speaks".

Flores is the best anchor on there. He always makes fun of the SC setup. Today he had a walkover that was awkward, and on a dime this SOB said "that was awkward."

Stu Scott would've moonwalked and said boooya and probably shadowboxed. Flores florever.

He should give a tutorial to aspiring broadcast journalists on how to maintain your composure. Good stuff!
