Old Habits Die Hard For Jon Miller
Friday, October 26, 2007
Had this one emailed to me a bunch, so I figured I'd give it it's own spot. Miller and Joe Morgan have the World Series for ESPN Radio, and last night's sign on was pretty spectcular. Via AA reader Carl....
If you didn't catch it, when the studio tossed to Jon Miller and Joe Morgan just before Game 2 of the World Series in Boston, Jon Miller jumped in (after a few seconds) with "San Francisco Giants Baseball." Realizing instantly that he had put it on auto-pilot at the wrong time, he tried to dig out with "As you all know, the San Francisco Giants (pause) are nowhere this year. But we're here at Fenway Park in Boston."Hahaha. That's actually a pretty good save there, and at least he made note of his mistake. Now I just need the audio, so I can laugh my ass of again.

The San Francisco Giants are definitely not in the playoffs this year. But look out as they get younger and smarter moving forward! Their pitching is GREAT!

"You see now, that's what's so funny. Computerballs are NOT smart!"

Nice pic of Joe. Must have been at a Billy Beane roast - nothing else would give him that much glee.
