From the breaking news department....that laughter you hear from NYC is Harold Reynolds....

A woman who worked on the set of the ESPN talk show "Cold Pizza" is suing the sports network, claiming she was fired after complaining about sexual harassment by the show's host and one of its regular panelists. In the lawsuit, which also names ESPN host Jay Crawford and sports commentator Woody Paige, Rita Ragone claims that Paige pinched and fondled her and she was subjected to crude sexual comments from Crawford.

Ragone, a makeup artist and hair stylist from the Bronx, claimed Paige once grabbed her backside so forcefully, she was "propelled forward and into the air."

Interest tidbit from Newsday today....One of the thousand people WFAN tried to lure to the airwaves to replace Imus was Cold Pizza's First Take's Dana Jacobsen.

The goal was to pair her with Boomer Esiason, and to tell you the truth that wouldn't be a half-bad team. ESPN appears to have appeased the Cold Pizza crew enough to keep them in Connecticut though.

What's in a name? I believe Bill Shakespeare once asked this about Claire Danes in Romeo and Juliet. Maybe not. Either way Cold Pizza's face lift continued today with a new name brought to you from The Big Lead.

From this day forth Cold Pizza shall be referred to as (drumroll)......
ESPN's First Take?!?!

Yep. It actually seems worse than Cold Pizza if you think about it. From the The Big Lead......

“This marks the first time in the history of television that a show that moves its location, does not take the majority of its staff, it’s name and it’s original format is not cancelled. ESPN refuses to use the “C” word, but they’ve canceled the show. They long ago gave up on the original format, and now throw away the last bit of recognition the show had — it’s name. Like the show or not, for nearly four years, the name “Cold Pizza” has been out in press releases, on the air, etc. What brand logic calls for getting rid of the name. This is shades of ‘New Coke’ but then again, Mark Shapiro did not come up with ‘New Coke.’”

Hmm....that just reminded me......I forgot to watch the Colin Cowherd Show the other night. Darn it all to heck!

I had this sweet Hooters commercial with Dickie V lined up for this morning, but the video was all funked up. So you most likely will see that tomorrow morning.....and it's brilliant.

In the news department it seems like ESPN is sticking with Cold Pizza. As many of you know CP will be moving to Bristol June 1st, and will be taking on a new name. In addition the show will incorporate Mike and Mike in the morning, and bring in some fresh faces.

[Norby] Williamson "wants [‘Cold Pizza’] to be more news program than fluffy morning show” and said that ESPN will “more closely integrate it with its lead-in,” a simulcast of ESPN Radio’s "Mike & Mike in the Morning." Williamson: "We’ve made it more of a first take (on the news). We want to expand that."

"Similar to 'The Sports Reporters,' ESPN will build a rotating team of four or five commentators to go head-to-head with” commentator Skip Bayless.
