Interest tidbit from Newsday today....One of the thousand people WFAN tried to lure to the airwaves to replace Imus was Cold Pizza's First Take's Dana Jacobsen.
The goal was to pair her with Boomer Esiason, and to tell you the truth that wouldn't be a half-bad team. ESPN appears to have appeased the Cold Pizza crew enough to keep them in Connecticut though.
So who's left? Well, Geraldo is on all this week, and the courting of Bob Costas continues. If you've got a review of any of these people leave it in the comments.

Collinsworth-Boomer show was great radio. Plenty of great commentary on sports. They also went into general talk about politics and business. They worked well together.
Later that week, Boomer appeared to be auditioning for a FOX News Radio spot. It became a conservative political show with some random right-wing woman. They were praising Guiliani and crushing Clinton. No sports. I guess Boomer wants to branch out.
This week, 'FAN has Patrick and John McEnroe.
(Hey, anyone is better than Mike & Mike. But M&M have started to make inroads during the latest ratings book in NYC.)
The conservative woman was Monica Crowley, who has a weekend talker in NYC, who also was on an MSNBC show with Ron Reagan Jr. a few yrs ago. She & Boomer had zero chemistry.
I heard Chris Collinsworth when he was in with Boomer and he was hysterical. I wouldn't mind that combo, although there wuld be nonstop football talk.
