What In The World?: The Chris Berman Edition

Thursday, May 24, 2007

New feature here at AA. I play you a video of a broadcaster and you try to explain to me what they were saying/thinking. Pretty easy right? Okay, first up...The Leatherman himself....

Here's the exact quote in case you missed it. After the altercation between Lugo and Umpire CB Walker...

"Well CB Radio is what he is saying."- Berman

What in the hell does that mean!?!? That is the worst attempt at humor, well....probably ever. How does this guy still have a job?

I don't know if you've heard it, but Paul O'Neill's call of this on the YES Network was hysterical...

Berman is in a carbohydrate coma most days, just look at him.

I'm surprised he didn't pull out a "Convoy" or Rubber Duck reference.

Wow, a reference to a Convoy reference that should have been referenced...my rural Ohio roots salute you, sir.

I believe that what Berman said is:

"Turn off the CB Radio, is what he's saying"

in reference to what CB was saying to Julio Lugo (basically that CB was telilng Lugo to shut up)

One of those things that sounds funny in your brain after you've done 9 innings of play by play and watched your beloved Red Sox get battered by the Yankees
