E:60 Has Another Athlete Walk Out During An Interview
Wednesday, October 22, 2008
This past Summer, E:60 got some attention for railroading Miguel Tejada about his real age, and the Astro walked off set. Well yesterday the show featured an interview with UFC fighter and ex-Pro Wrestler, Brock Lesner, and he also decided to end things early. The show did an entire piece on the guy and then during the one-on-one portion, ESPN correspondent Tom Farrey decides to delve into steroid talk. Watch what goes down at around the :20 mark....
I still think E:60 is a bit cheesy, but they are definitely throwing out some interesting stories as of late. The problem with the Tejada interview was that it was a complete setup. Lesnar on the other hand should have at least been expecting this line of questioning, and to walk out when he could have just said he'd never tested positive is a bit sketchy.

How lame. Asking about steroid use is so last year--not hard news. So what if he did before anyway? He's regularly tested now.
What I love most about that clip is the opportunity to see the extensive lighting/camera set-up ... to see how completely contrived and over-the-top theatrical E:60 is. They're in a barn. Sitting on bales of hay. Really.
"I've never tested positive for steroids" is code for "I take HGH."
Should have pulled a Dr. D. David Shultz on the guy.

I'm assuming you've never been on a set for an interview. There's really nothing over the top with E60's set up. Backlight, key, fill, backgrounds. The location may seem a bit much, but the equipment they used is not.
Steriods are going to file a restraining order against E:60 if this keeps up.
Come on now. He very easily could have developed 4 pecs naturally.
Lesnar said either before or after (i forgot which) that he had never tested positive for steroids. He was pretty forthcoming about taking pills and drinking.
Not saying that he has or has not but he knew he was walking into a setup. can't blame him for bailing. And as a reporter, I don't really consider it good journalism if you just try to blindside people like that. It's just a gimmick.
If you add "man" to the last thing that Lesner says, it's a dead on Big Lebowski impression. Check it out...
I didn't know that E60 was a show. I would still rather watch the Weather Channel.
Why are they in a ****ing barn?!?
What exactly does Tom Farrey do? I've never heard of this guy before E:60.
