What we've learned from the late games:
- Indy misses Joseph Addai. Green Bay has run all over the Colts' D, and we've seen at least six different versions of Manning Face. 27-7, Packers, and they should hold on unless Aaron Rodgers catches some form of disease from Sage Rosenfels.
- After a 0-0 first half, Washington has now scored two touchdowns to go up 14-3. Question: have the Browns even had 100 yards total offense yet?
- Houston up 28-18 on the Lions thanks to the running game -- Steve Slaton and Ahman Green both have scored, Matt Schaub's thrown for two TDs.
- Guh....both the Raiders and the Jets stink. It's 13-10 as I write this; Janikowski just kicked a go ahead FG.
Talk about the day in football, let's see if K.O. is back from his bout with strep throat, and list any good jabs and quotes from Cris here. Baseball live-blog coming in an hour.

Two things: (1) How funny is it that Oakland called the stupid timeout as Feeley missed the FG only to have him make the next one to send it to OT? (2) AA - you asked earlier about Gus in the Titans game. His calls of both Lendale's and Johnson's long TD runs were great. The Titans got lots of pressure on the QBs (knocked two of them out of the game) so Gus was really into calling that action too.
I am going to watch the football game would rather be bored by Football then baseball
Randy Cross comments that Raiders should be "apprehensive as the devil" that they are giving Favre so many chances in OT. On cue: camera cuts to Al Davis.
OK, I just turned on the Oakland/Jets game. This is like ranking contestants 41-50 in the Miss America pageant.
@ anon 7:31 - 41-50 in Miss America are still hot. This is more like having to review Lifetime Network's made for TV movies.
That was good by a mile. That 80-something kick a month ago was a lot closer than it should have been.
Polish Cannon (his nickname at FSU)
nails 57 yarder to defeat the Gunslinger
@mal 7:39 - Well put.
Damn I wanted that fucking game to end in a tie
KO just said "TBS if you choose." That should make the people at NBC happy.
"Reports that Brett Favre gave Houston tips on how to beat the Lions are totally BS, or TBS" - Keith Olbermann
Very funny.
Holy crap, Seattle got a first down. I am so happy.
So does anyone think KeithO REALLY had strep last week? Or do you think he was suspended for his Palin crack 2 weeks ago?
"[Seattle] is a team that only has one interception all year" - Al Michaels
"Yeah, I see why" - Cris Collinsworth.
Ouch.
@ bf: KO's voice was hoarce the next Monday night on Countdown. So it was probably really strep throat...
Touchdown Tampa, Kelly Jennings is the worst corner in the league.
Mike Holmgren looks like he is ready to retire right now.
Now I see why Madden took the week off.
Seattle should never get a sports team....
Seattle just had their first takeaway in their last five road games. Wow....
Oh my, TJ Duckett barrels over the ref who was about to throw a flag for holding.
Just how many fucking desks are on that show? Do they need that many? I get the feeling they are just being cute and wanting to justify having twenty people on that show. Oooh, so sophisticated.
Tiki: their line is really well.
That's good TIki, Mr. Brainiac.
Listening to the radio broadcast with Sims and Fassel...
After some dude from TB got totally splattered all over the place, "I love that kid, good football player, it's good to see him coming off under...well...on a golf cart..."
Al Michaels apparently hasn't heard of the the movie "Changeling" which is sponsoring the game - called it "ch-angle-ing." Funny stuff. A producer must have told him his mistake because he went back and apologized a minute later.
Michaels: "Mike Holmgren, looking like he can't open that bookstore fast enough."
Collinsworth: "(Mike Alstott) turned defense backs into wide receivers."
Wow...this game just looks like it's an ass raping....
I'm thinking Seneca Wallace isn't quite ready to be an NFL QB.
20-10 is the final score in what was perhaps the least cared about game in NBC SNF history....
Joseph Addai is the last person that would have helped the Colts yesterday. Dominic Rhodes did better than Addai would have done, but Manning was so bad it didn't matter.
I loved that archived footage that showed the Seahawks and Buccaneers in their old uniforms. They are 1976 expansion brethren after all. The old Seahawks uniforms rock!
check out Madden's eyebrows?
holy crap are those long
I contacted AA about guest posting and live blogging this game, but I'll settle for play by play in the comments section A la Jfein.
