The FCS Is Not For The Faint Of Heart

JMU Football already completed one of the most improbable comebacks earlier in the year with a wild finish against Richmond, but this takes the moniker of "Cardiac Kids" to a whole 'nother level. JMU was down five to Villanova, and after a 3rd down stop with a minute left in the game, they got the ball back with about a minute on the clock and one timeout. After a huge first down on a 4th and long, and a few spikes, they tried for a hail mary instead of a long field goal into the wind. That was seemingly a good idea....
Obviously part of the reason that I posted this is because JMU is my Alma Mater, but that was just an amazing ending. You can now add this game to the Dukes' list of crazy games this year which includes a 21-point comeback win against Appalachian State and the Richmond game mentioned above.

what is it with all the media folks from JMU?
AA, the Mottrams, Buckhantz?
It's like Syracuse of the South.
Does that play qualify as a dagger?
That was a pretty sweet play.
Richmond wants JMU again....We'll kick their ass next time.
KNOCK IT DOWN!
whoops.
Finishes like this are why I wish there was some sort of national TV outlet for a Div. I-AA/FCS game of the week(Versus would be a good place for it.)
almost as sick as that comeback in the D-2 basketball championship game a couple years ago
My BIL is also a JMU grad, plus I live about 90 miles south of H'burg, so I follow the Dukes on a regular basis. Very nice win...
"JMU was down five ... with about a minute left..."
In that situation, down by five, why would you even consider a FG?
KNOCK IT DOWN!!!!
tipping it up, the most cringe worthy (yet common) mistake in all of sports.
I have nothing personal against JMU, but when I lived in VABeach, I grew tired of them being shoved down our throats by the local ESPN station.
Ugh, I wanted to strangle Richmond's punter for the ending of that JMU game. There's no excuse for not punting the ball directly out of bounds and taking your chances in OT.
So Brian, you actually went to James Madison University? Well, excuuuuse me! I had always thought you were a Michigan grad, based on some of your previous comments.
Great call by play by play man Scott Graham on CN8.
