Sean Avery Has A Message To The NHL And You
Wednesday, April 16, 2008
I'm still wondering if a ref would have even called a penalty if a Devils player had gone off and just blasted Avery, but I guess we'll never know. Anyway, the stick waving wack job has a new plan. He'll be waving one finger instead of his stick....
Bam! What's up now NHL?! The guy is definitely a dick, but an entertaining dick at that. Elisha Cuthbert could not be reached for comment.

So Apparently The Canseco-Giambi Mixup Wasn't Only Gary Thorne's Error In Japan
Wednesday, March 26, 2008
I really thought that the clip that I posted earlier today was by far the most confused and lost I've ever seen an announcer. I was wrong. Who would have guessed that the same announcer, in the same exact game, would best himself. Ladies and gentleman.....Gary Thorne via SbB....
“Pretty good international team.”- Gary Thorne
Okay Gary....getting confused by players who have never played in a Yankee uniform is one thing, but completely misunderstanding the spirit of the Civil Rights Game is an entirely different issue. See when Steve Phillips brings up players like Curtis Granderson and Jacque Jones being on the Tigers they're not exactly foreign. They're African-American and they were both born in this Country. Both Curtis and Jacque are from America (Chicago and San Diego respectively)......THUS the f'ing reason that Steve Phillips brought the team up in the FIRST DAMN PLACE!!!!!!
I hate to be this blunt, but someone who is this clueless should NOT be broadcasting to millions of people (I also hate to be this blunt....but I actually feel sorry for Steve Phillips for once).

Gary Thorne Is Completely Clueless (Awful Announcing)
Update: Okay, for all of you people that think that Steve Phillips is the one to blame for this transgression you need to watch again.

Joe Paterno "Casket" Yeller Found
Saturday, December 29, 2007
I'm so glad this douchebag got booed when he made the comments I mentioned the other day. This "cheerleader" was trying to get the crowd riled up when he thought it would be a good idea to mention that Joe Paterno was on his death bed....
People like this should be banned from ever touching a microphone.

Mike Patrick Should Have Won The Worst Person In America Award Last Night
Monday, October 08, 2007
Usually when I wake up and make the almost 2 hour trek into work I flip through the emails on my phone. Today was different as there were a good 10 or so with the subject "Mike Patrick"....I wondered what goofy thing he did today. The Britney Spears' Incident was something goofy and random, and it was fun to make fun of him for being so random. I couldn't wait to read what he did this time, but it wasn't goofy and random.
Speaking about Virginia Tech's trip to LSU earlier in the year Mike Patrick had this to say about the game.....
"Virginia Tech went to LSU and got murdered."- Mike Patrick
Now I know when you're in the moment sometimes you say things you really shouldn't, but comments like this are inexcusable. How many Tech fans do you think were listening at the moment and thought back to April? Probably tens of thousands. I know some of you are going to say that people are too sensitive and that there has to be a moratorium on things of this nature, but I'm saying there shouldn't be.
Just inexcusable to me.
(Thanks to Roger and all of the other Tech fans who expressed their feelings.)

Another Reporter Tries The "Vick > Rape" Argument
Wednesday, August 01, 2007

Look, I get what these people are trying to do. The public outcry for this Vick thing is amazing and out of control at the same time. You then try to compare it to some other arrests that have been made in the league. Yada, Yada, Yada.
Again, guys....all guys....never compare anything to rape. It's classless and it's never going to fly. Especially with Nancy Grace, CNN Sports Anchor Larry Smith...
Out to Larry Smith, CNN sports correspondent and CNN anchor. What`s Vick afraid of? Come on. He`s been in front of the camera a million times. What`s so hard about declaring your innocence?Hey....when Nancy Grace wants the "Rape Stats"....she GETS the rape stats! But in all seriousness.....just stop men. You'll never win any argument, let alone a rape comparison. Especially when it's idiotic to begin with.
LARRY SMITH, CORRESPONDENT: Yes, well, that`s -- he`s been in a lot of trouble lately, when you think about all the other incidents, and this is just the worst one of all. Keep in mind, too, that while Kobe Bryant is a situation we can sort of compare this to, this really is much worse. Not only can you argue that the crimes are much worse in terms of, you know, killing dogs and that kind of thing, but as an NFL starting quarterback, you are the most visible face in that city. I`ve said all along, in fact, you know, if you go through and, you know, very quickly name 10 mayors of major cities in the country...
GRACE: Larry Smith, did I just hear you say...
SMITH: ... you could have a harder time doing that...
GRACE: ... mistreatment of...
SMITH: ... than naming 10 NFL starting quarterbacks.
GRACE: Did I just hear Larry Smith, CNN sports correspondent and anchor, state that crimes on a dog are much worse than crimes on a woman? Did I hear that?
SMITH: I`m sorry. You -- I`m saying they could be. I`m not arguing for which is worse, which one is worse. I`m just saying that in terms of his visibility is much worse. His visibility is much worse than what Kobe Bryant`s is. Kobe Bryant is a superstar in the NBA, but at the same time, he plays in Los Angeles, which is a city full of stars. Michael Vick is the most visible person in the city of Atlanta, maybe ever in the history of Atlanta sports.

How NOT To Make A Correlation: Vick > Rape
Tuesday, July 31, 2007

It really blows my mind how Sports Reporters come up with some of the things they say. Some people really must have a disconnect in their brain that just allow them to blurt out whatever they're thinking at the time.
Case in point, one KDKA-CBS and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reporter Paul Zeise. Zeise is a contributor to a weekly television show called "Sports Showdown", and when the subject of Mike Vick came up he had this to say....
“It's really a sad day in this country when somehow ... Michael Vick would have been better off raping a woman if you look at the outcry of what happened. Had he done that, he probably would have been suspended for four games and he'd be back on the field. But because this has become a political issue, all of a sudden the commissioner has lost his stomach for it.”Umm what!?!? First of all...when do you ever joke about rape? Second...Would that really even be the case? Wouldn't he get locked up right away and for probably a longer period of time??? Just an aside here....if you're a guy....just never compare ANYTHING to rape. In fact let's all stop trying to compare Dog Fighting to Murder, Battery, Rape, Armed Robbery, etc. All of those are heinous and deserved to be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
KDKA has told Zeise and the Post-Gazette that he won't be invited back. Good for them.....let's keep asses like this off the airwaves please.
Apologies issued for PG reporter's remarks (Post-Gazette)

Umm NBA.....Chauncey Billups Doesn't Play For The Cavs
Thursday, June 07, 2007
I mean he could next year, but he doesn't currently. So why is Billups appearing on an NBA site involving David Blaine and the NBA Finals? (Pay no attention to Blaine holding those crystal ball like basketballs in front of you)
Very odd. Maybe the NBA is trying to be as mysterious as Blaine himself. Besides, Billups is a more marketable player than Lebron anyway.....wait.....he's not? Oh, okay. I mean it says Cavs-Spurs in the upper right hand corner.

Okay, David Blaine Is Really Creeping Me Out Now
Wednesday, May 23, 2007
The Lebron one was pretty weird, but this one takes the cake. I don't know what's worse, these or the Pussy Cat Doll ads for ABC.
Yep, just like an extra set of lungs.......on your face. Can we please go back to normal intros now. Check out this one from 1997...Nothing says playoff basketball like R. Kelly!!!
