The Hawaii Bowl Open Thread
Wednesday, December 24, 2008
Game: The Sheraton Hawaii Bowl
Location: Aloha Stadium, Honolulu, HI
Teams: Hawaii Warriors (7-6) vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (6-6)
Announcers and Network:Dave Pasch, Andre Ware, ESPN
Start: 8 PM
Odds: Notre Dame (-2), O/U 49
AA's Pick: Another intriguing matchup tonight. It's a case of two teams that barely got into the Bowl Season, and who are both just bad enough to make this a close/high scoring game. I was seriously wrong about the scoring in the Poinsettia Bowl, but still got the pick right in the end, so I'm going with the same line of thinking for this one....
27-24 Notre Dame

Yeah AA must've fallen asleep at the end of the 3rd quarter.
Well Herbstreit's picking Hawaii, so that means ND will probably win
Notre Dame has NOBs on their jerseys for the first time snce 1985 BTW.
the radio guys were talking about some confetti or something like that and said "we just had a golden shower"
"We had a golden shower right there." - Dave Pasch, as paint chips come off an ND helmet on the punt return.
Nice "golden shower" reference on ESPN.... wonder if we'll hear an apology for that.
I think Dave's mind is elsewhere. Maybe his Christmas gift?
i guess they are playing the espn feed on the radio
Well, it looks like Notre Dame can beat a 7-6 team.
MY DICK IS BIG!
Merry Christmas and stay classy, Anon 10:19 PM!
Well, at least the guys are trying to keep this thing interesting.
Wow, Nate Montana looks a lot like his dad.
I haven't seen all of this game, but I have a feeling that the WAC wasn't too good this year. I mean, what I remember about Hawaii this season was them getting slaughtered by Florida 4 months ago. I never thought they'd make it to a bowl game after that, so I have a feeling that the WAC must not be good.
I'm not a fan of the Irish, but I have to give them props for breaking their streak in such a fashion like this.
"The BCS is happy Boise State lost,to show OH State belongs there." - Pasch
First Boise lost by ONE POINT TO ANOTHER RANKED TEAM !
And OH St will be lucky to lose by less than 4 TD's. Pasch's statment is everytihng that is wrong with the college football media.
I see that u even got the pick wrong, tcu won by a pt, not boise! I do think ND will tonight however
