Courtesy of Sports by Brooks, we have the highlights of Titans players stomping on a Terrible Towel after beating the Steelers in Nashville today.

Late game round-ups:

  • The Jets go to the West Coast and blow it once again. Seattle wins 13-3 on a couple of field goals, good D, and a TD pass from Seneca Wallace to John Carlson....but we can't forget Favraro's two picks, including one to kill the drive near the end.
  • Here's a bizarre stat line: 18/25, 236 yards, 2 TDs. That's JaMarcus Russell's passing numbers against the Houston D. 27-16, Raiders, with a minute left.
  • The Skins are up 10-3 on Philly thanks to a Clinton Portis touchdown and some stereotypically bizarre Andy Reid play calling. (Short screen to Westbrook on 3rd and goal from the 6, ahoy!)
  • Atlanta has just owned Minnesota today. 24-10, despite fumbling the ball four times. One TD pass for Matt Ryan, one score each for Michael Turner and Jerious Norwood. 4:30 left.
  • Buffalo is up 30-23 in Denver, as the Broncos are determined to make the Bills look good and set up a showdown in San Diego for the AFC Worst title next week. Two rushing TDs for Jay Cutler, and Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson both have rushing TDs.
Live blog will start in an hour and 15. I'm running out to get some dinner.

Someone comment if FNIA announces anything about next Sunday night like they did last year.

@ Morgan Wick: I'm pretty sure I just read here that it may not be announced until tomorrow night, but then again, I don't think the Bears-Texans game will be the choice.

I'm pretty sure that someone in the comments section in another thread here suggested that it would be either Dallas-Philly, Vikes-G-men, or Chargers-Broncos. Me, I have (proverbial) my money on the AFC West championship game

Hopefully Rob Parker gets an extra bit of Christmas vacation after that crack on Rod Marinelli's son-in-law...aka his daughter's husband.

What a jerk. JamesCraven needed to be standing there to say "stay classy, Rob Parker".

word verification:gropea. a letter away from being self-explanatory.

Wob Parker has got to be an affirmative action hire. This idiot is barely literate.

Was Rob Parker on FNIA or something and I missed it?

Oh well.

Guhhhh....Chargers-Broncos on Sunday night, for the right to host the Colts and get beaten?

Another possibility for next week is Dolphins@Jets. And NBC wont have to move their equipment if they take that game.

Well, it looks like both the Eagles and my favorite AFC team, the San Diego Chargers, both will encounter some Week 17 madness with the playoffs at steak.

@JFein: Bears-Packers still matters because the Vikings will have nothing to play for if the Bears lose - they will already have the division locked up. I'm thinking it could be Dolphins-Jets myself. If the Patriots lose next week, that's an AFC East championship game with better teams and the Favre factor.

And I'm guessing you haven't been reading Neil Best recently. It's possible NBC has no choice but to pick an AFC game. I'm skeptical myself, but...

I caught the Parker thing on the OT. They were showing the Lions' press conference and Parker was trying to bait Rod Marinelli into saying something bad about his son-in-law Joe Barry, the Lions defensive coordinator.

Not here to defend Barry, but Parker has an odd idea of what it means to ask the tough questions. The toughest thing for Marinelli had to be not walking over to him and punching him in the face.

I think the Sunday night game is gonna be either Jets/Dolphins, Cowboys/Eagles or Broncos/Chargers next week. I just hope Dallas doesn't win next week and make the playoffs, but you know that now Dallas is back in the #6 NFC spot again that ESPN will go more gaga again about Dallas the next week

JG: no. I was just thinking about the possibility of it. Two complete mediocrities playing to win a bad, bad division. (The AFC West isn't the worst. That title has to go to the NFC West again. At least the Broncos haven't been completely blown out by anyone like Arizona has.)

about that Rob Parker clip, is he the same guy who's on ESPN First Take during the 1st and 10 segments alot? If it is, he sounded like a jerk from the clip they played on the OT to the Lions coach

Anyone notice there were no texans-Raiders highlights on FNiA?

As Kenny Mayne says "It's just anothetr case of the man keeping the texans and Raiders down."
