Troy Aikman and Joe Buck Broken Up?

Friday, December 22, 2006

Weird and Wild stuff happening with FOX lately. First raccoons are going to be commenting on the games. And now, they've only scheduled Giants games for Troy and Joe to work. Troy will be calling his 4th straight, but Joe is going to be missing this Sunday. Why you ask?

NEWSDAY.com: Actually, Aikman will be without his usual partner, Joe Buck. Fox will experiment with Buck in the studio; Dick Stockton will work the Giants-Saints game.

"I was surprised by it," Aikman said of the Buck move. "It came out of leftfield. I can assure you I was not consulted on that." He would not comment beyond that.
I wish we were that lucky to have Joe out of the booth permanently, but alas......they'll be back together for the playoffs.

Another quick Buck story.....apparently Dr. Z is jumping on our Buck Bashing Bandwagon (how about that for alliteration?)
On Sunday Joe Buck, hosting Fox's pregame show, served us a blind item referring to Johnson as "training dogs to kill." Howie Long, who maintains journalistic integrity, promptly jumped him on this one. "Training to kill what?" he said. "Where'd that come from?" Buck, true to the instincts of all sound bite airheads, went into a stammering backstroke and bailed out.
Good job Dr. Z.....now how bout them Phins!?!?!

You know Troy Boy is pissed. He does not like change at all. Remember when he was playing he bitched and whined about every little thing.

Everything had to be perfect for him. He never won bad weather games. He couldn't win without Emmit. He didn't want to change helmets to protect himself. And on and on and on.

He was the pickiest HOF QB I've ever seen.

Um, for starters Jay, just check the game in New York (1992?) for a bad weather game win from Troy boy. Came up with that in two seconds.

Giants fan?
