Jay Glazer Tells It Like It Is

Thursday, August 20, 2009

The amount of honesty that Jay Glazer shows on a weekly basis, is refreshing to some, but can get him in trouble from time to time. Earlier this week, Glazer broke the news that Brett Favre was officially heading to Minnesota to sign a deal, and while ESPN credited him with the story, their analysts continued to mock him throughout the day and poo poo the story. Well after his breaking news came to fruition, he went on the Jorge Sedano show, on 790 The Ticket in Miami, and had some more choice words for the "Leader"....

Again, it's refreshing to hear someone who can be serious about his job, but also understand that we're just talking about Sports. ESPN has to be bitter that they spent the whole Summer following Favre around, and when he finally decides to sign with the Vikings, the story is broken by someone else. Burn!

Jay Glazer>>>>>>>>>>>all ESPN goons, except for Qadry Ismail. We need more Qadry on the WWL. This is kind of off topic, AA, but I have a link to your site, on my personal Web page, here's my site, http://midutahradio.com/mavricksportscorner. I know "maverick" is spelled wrong in the URL, but my Web coordinator isn't necessarily what I'd call a wordsmith. G-Money's hate mail will be appreciated!

A couple of days ago you had dopes like Tom Jackosn ripping Glazer's report about Favre, and what happens? Glazer's report is absouluty on the money. Most of the news that is broken by ESPN "Isideers" are petty much untrusworthy, specialy, Mort's. Why you think ESPN hired Adam Schefter, becaue Mort's ino is crap.

I didn't read the whole thing, but honestly, the report sounded so shaky I was a little surprised ESPN was reporting on it at all. The speed with which everything happened I think took everyone by surprise.

Unless...

"B-by gawd, Keeng! They planned it all along! They had Favre announce his retirement so Rachael Nichols would get off his lawn and no one at ESPN would be on the case when Favre signed the deal that was always in place all along! Can you believe this, King?" "What a shocker, JR! They pulled a fast one on everybody, especially ESPN!"
