Mike And Mike To Have A Guest Co-Host Next Week
Wednesday, August 12, 2009
There are regular random athletes that come in to co-host with either Greenberg or Golic, but there's also the occasional completely off-the-wall hosts that come in as well. Next Wednesday, THE Dennis Leary will be filling in for Mike Golic on the radio program. Via ESPN PR....
Five-time Emmy Award-nominated comedian/actor Denis Leary will co-host all four hours of ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike in the Morning (6-10 a.m. ET, M-F) on Wednesday, Aug. 19. The show is simulcast on ESPN2 and streamed live on ESPNRadio.com. Leary, a big sports fan who says ice hockey is his favorite sport and the Boston Bruins are his favorite team, will join Mike Greenberg in ESPN Radio’s studios in Bristol, Conn. Leary, also a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan, will be subbing for co-host Mike Golic. While, I know that Leary is a huge Sports fan, and I haven't watched M&M in months so I don't know how often this has been happening, but this does seem a little out of left field. Oh well, whatever brings in the ratings.

Didn't Darius Rucker co-host a couple of months back?
Denis, please don't get sucked into doing those horrible radio ads with Greenberg. Thanks.
good thing it comes on at 4 a.m. in the Mountain Time zone.
The celebrity guest slots are usually horrid, because Greenberg can't stop himself from fawning over the star, whomever it is. I'll be skipping the show that morning.
They are usually okay if you don't want to do too much thinking. With Denis Leary, this show will be fairly annoying, with a slight potential for entertainment.
I haven't listened to M&M in months. Steve Czaban is so much better than those clowns. Plus, it doesn't hurt he's from Virginia.
I'm with Steve Smith. We who reside in the area from Calgary-Guadalajara are spared from this drivel unless we want to get up at 4:00 a.m. to make ourselves stupid. War living in Mountain Time!
I think Leary was on not too long ago, and came on after that Senator from Utah and his argument for a BCS change and all that. Leary got all fired up because the Senator got a ton of time, while his segment was about six minutes, so he made the call that they should invite him back, maybe let him help host, so I guess this is the way for him to do that.
Frankly, I'd rather listen to Leary talk about sports for four hours than either Golic or Greenberg. At least he'd be entertaining.
