It is, Peter. Since NFL decided to start a week later earlier this decade, college football has essentially taken over Labor Day Weekend.

Mike Patrick's on the call? I thought there was no possible way to make watching Michigan struggle (if not lose) versus Western any worse. Maybe if it was Mike Patrick & Matt Millen...

Sean McDonough is doing the Thursday night game? Is this an error or a change? I thought Chris Fowler was still doing them.

Great...let the Mark Jones train to crappy jokes begin in Washington.

@Inside The Endzone

Chris Fowler is in New York doing the US Open the next 2 weeks. He will be back on the Thursday night game on September 17.

why in the world are the defending FCS champions --the richmond spiders-- not being televised at ANY point in the season...even when they are playing a BCS team?

shame. i mean, c'mon -- do it at least once.

friggin' app. state gets love, and what did they win last year? uhh...nothing. although i suppose merely beating one BCS team gets you eternal national TV coverage thereafter...

Uhh, App State won back to back to back National Championships. They are the preeminent FCS program. That's why they get coverage.

Wait a second. I don't see Paul Maguire's name anywhere on this list. Could it be that the worst football "analyst" in the history of sports has actually retired or been shit-canned? Can someone confirm this? I can't bear the letdown of thinking he's out of my life, only to turn on the TV next Saturday morning and find out that he was just taking the first week off.

I think the Miami-FSU game is on Monday and not Tuesday.

So is Cincinnati-Rutgers. Also of note ...

Akron-Penn State: Primary telecast for Big Ten Network.

Western Ky-Tennessee: Will air on MSG.

Western Mich-Michigan: Reverse Mirror game on ESPN2.

Georgia-Okla State: Reverse Mirror game on ESPN2.

FWIW Paul Maguire is only working part-time this season.
