Madden 2009's Randy Moss = Tecmo Bo
Thursday, May 15, 2008
This clip from With Leather via Shutdown Corner gives us our first look at gameplay on Madden 2009, and while it looks awesome, there's one problem.....Randy Moss is unstoppable. The video is long and you can watch a whole Giants possession, but if you get bored skip to the 3:30 mark.
So Randy Moss can go uncovered on a WR Screen and then outrun an entire Giants' defense? Good to know. Oh and I loved the added "Supermanning that Ho" at the end. Good stuff.

Glad to see that Madden's defensive players still take laughably terrible angles of pursuit. I used to love the Madden series, but the lack of improvement in on-the-field play is just pathetic.
wheres the new commentators tom hammond and cris collinsworth
we're getting 1 1/2 camera angles this year and 80 new features which 75 are touchdown celebrations
good times.. suck it EA Sports
That's actually not the "superman" that ho segment of the dance.
In that segment, Randy Moss is "cranking that soulja boy"
Superman that ho would be Standing on one foot with both hands out in front of you and then moving back in a flying/swimming motion.
I used to buy Madden every year (didn't get Madden 08 though) but not with Favre on the cover I refuse to buy it.
IMO the NCAA franchise has been trumping the Madden franchise in game play for years now.
I agree, Harbaugh. For two years of the series ('05 and '06) I played as a college team in NCAA and exported my draft classes to Madden. I got sick of playing Madden seasons and just simulated them. But NCAA stayed fun.
I don't agree with not buying a game because of the cover, though. Gotta judge it by what's INSIDE the box! But, yeah, '08 was the first year since '01 that I didn't buy it, either.
Roster Update '08 looks pretty nice. I haven't played the game in a few years, so I guess I'm really impressed by the visual presentation. It definitely looks more like you're watching a TV broadcast.
The touchdown celebration was funny. And jeesh does Moss have like a 120 Speed Rating?
Don't worry, I'm sure they added the feature where if you don't throw the ball to Moss on the first series and at least once every series he jogs for the rest of the game.
It doesn't look awesome at all. It looks the same as '08.
