Nike Does It Again, Makes Me Want To Be A Soccer Player

Thursday, May 01, 2008

This video starts off kind of weak but once the guy (or you actually) signs a chicks breasts, shakes hands with Ronaldinho, and pukes his guts out...I'm wanting to be a Soccer player. Something I haven't wanted to be since I was seven....

I feel a little nauesous myself after watching that, but that was pretty sweet. Nike has done it again.

(Thanks to BG for the video)

I think we did at some point.

Every time I think Nike is evil, they pull me back in. Great spot. I almost, almost, want to watch soccer.

Not very realistic. They left out the flopping and crying.

Best part is the jackass who you get in a shoving match with is Materazzi.

No, you don't get traded. You end up playing for the national team. It's the orange jersey of the Netherlands and you're playing against Pretty Ronaldo and Portugal.

Amazing what Guy Ritchie can do when his wife is nowhere to be seen.

Yeah, this was a great ad. Twoeightnine's analysis is correct. You are a dutch player who gets signed by Arsenal and then makes the Netherlands national team and plays in a World Cup match against Portugal. This looks a lot like what happened to Robin Van Persie, except that the player here is right footed and Van Persie is left footed.

And yes, it really is incredible what Guy Ritchie can do. This was one of the best ads I have ever seen and I want to know how this was filmed given the high level of camera work needed to even create those shots. I might have a small bias for this ad as well given that I'm an Arsenal fan.

Of course you would think it starts off weak, ur an american sports fan who cant respect anyother sport but the big 4.

Other than that, its a great commercial. Love to see ronnie play well for barca at least one more time.

Yeah to reiterate what has been said, you get scouted by Arsene Wenger and wind up signing with Arsenal. You also later get called up to play for the Netherlands national team. Really sweet ad, and I too would love to know how it was made. Awesome to see so many big names like Rooney, C. Ronaldo, Ruud, Cesc, etc. in it. Very cool

Yeah I feel cheated that they had C. Ronaldo in it and not one flop.

at least C. Ronaldo has toned down the flopping quite a bit. It seems Ryan Babel is the new king of diving.

Needs more tranny prostitutes, or urine bombs, or flares. Take your pick.

Wrong Ronaldo, but C. could use a good knock prior to the final two games of the Premiership and the Champions League final. Not to mention Euro 08.

It's hard for Babel to fall when he has Arse defenders jumping on his back.

Don't be bitter that he signed with a better club. Be mad.

That you failed.

I thought Arsene's appearance was quite funny for whatever reason. Guy Ritchie did well for a Chelsea fan.
