This Lebron "Witness" Business Is Starting To Weird Me Out A Bit
Wednesday, May 07, 2008
I honestly don't mind most of the Lebron James commercials. The lawyer one was funny and the "Lebrons" ones were kind of cute. Well these "Witness" ones aren't funny or cute and they're really starting to creep me out. Here's the latest Nike spot....
I personally think Lebron is lazy and doesn't try as hard as he could, but that's irrelevant here. When did we start comparing him to the second coming of Jesus? This is just a little much for my tastes.

Not sure if this is a good place for Pistons-Magic, but here goes...
Reggie Miller said, "Inadvertant pass to Rasheed Wallace" when he meant "errant pass." Marv didn't respond.
One thing to Anon 8:50's point on Reggie Miller: In the 3rd Quarter, Miller said after Maxiell forced Howard into a traveling call: "That's a Rick Mahorn move, pulling the chair from behind him. Mahorn over there on the radio broadcast must have called out some tips to him during the last timeout."
Just one problem...Mahorn only does the home games on Pistons radio, and I don't think he wasn't in the building. Don't let that get in the way of a good anecdote. Moron.
Please don't say anything is ever "kinda cute" again. Please.
Compared to Jesus? No way, Jesus couldn't even dunk.
"Are you trying to tell me Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball?"
Seriously though, tell me you're not the littlest bit amped that we have a player to watch, right now, who's got the most legitimate shot of being as good as Jordan. He needs to work on his defense, he needs to work on his outside shooting but as a Celtics fan I'm saying he's the most physically dominant player since Shaq, if not ever, and he's twenty-three! He can barely drink legally! If he got another quality inside player of similar age around him he could shut the door on the Eastern Conference for the next 8 years.

Tell your old man to drag Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes!
You sound like a bitter Wizards fan!!! But you're somewhat right. As a Cavs fan who watches 95% of their games, he does have a tendency to mail in a game or four every year. I wouldn't call him lazy though, I would say that he hasn't full matured mentally yet.
