Reason #4,523 Why You Should Not Talk On Your Cell Phone At Games

Thursday, May 01, 2008

I really can't think of anything more annoying at a game than someone screaming into their cellphone to someone and trying to get them to turn their television on to see your lame ass on camera. That and the call to a friend at the game, "I'm right here! Okay see the players on the court?! Go back about 40 rows to your right. No, your other right!!! I'm wearing a blue shirt and waving to you! No No, that's the mascot."

You get the idea. Well during last night's Rangers-Royals game a rather young but attractive female was doing this behind the plate. Watch closely.

Take that you dumbass! If only that pesky net wasn't there.

I just emailed this to a friend of mine and here is his response (which also answers the question of the Sportscenter anchor as to how the two girls got those seats):

"I was at the game last night and that blond was sitting 2 rows in front of me in the upper deck. She and her friend left during the 7th to go sit behind home plate, I guess the rest is history!"

It didn't take MLB long to take that clip down.

The clip is no longer available. Can someone repost it?

Guess MLB got testy about that one. Can we get a written explanation on that one?

New video coming shortly.

i'm REALLY looking forward to the day that a pitcher or manager says something to the ump and the jack hole behind the plate gets ejected. hopefully espn will show that and it will teach people a lesson.

either that or stadium officials need to broadcast a message telling people to knock it off.

it's really getting tired. i have seen d-backs games where this punk kid will make a fool of himself when the visiting pitcher is on the mound, but will sit on his thumb when the 'backs are in the field.

Maybe it's time to require a three-digit IQ level for people to sit behind homeplate. That would eliminate 98% of the fans...

They might not want to ride those two fans too badly, since it doesn't look like they have many...fans that is.

More empty seats than filled ones, behind home plate, really?

Stupid c's...go home and watch the other stupid c's on E! and stay out of our ballparks. I hope her uterus falls out because she got scared by the bad ol' baseball coming close to her big mouth.

@steve - that's how it is at the Nats' new park, too. The 5$ seats are sold out and jam packed, and the seats behind the plate are 40% full at best.

Watching a Mets-Phillies game. A guy around her age in the same spot was doing a dance similar to the Soy Bomb guy and he flashed the Mets pitcher a couple of times. Even Bill Webb wanted the cameras to turn away from that dude!
