Sarge Matthews Should Have Just Stopped While He Was Ahead

There's nothing better than someone who has already done/said something relatively shocking, and then taking it to the next level. Most of the time people do it with bad jokes, but it's especially fun when people take a potentially ridiculous story and make it even worse.
With that said I give you Gary "Sarge" Matthews talking lap dances and "large" women. From Philly Burbs via HHR...
I'm pretty sure calling someone a "plumper" never goes over well with the viewing audience (even if it's an older R&B singer). Well that and using the term "lap dance" during an afternoon broadcast when families are watching. Unbelievable.
Sarge said what?! A lap dance? From a “plumper” Valerie Simpson? (Philly Burbs)
Ashford And Plumper (HHR)

I suppose you could say that was taken out of context. I agree with Anon 1 about that the first comment was rather harmless, in context. The "lap dance" part of the comment, while taken out of context, was much more harmful. The comments of Gary Matthews Sr. are interesting to observe, but merit no more than passing interest.
Paging Martha Burk...
Yeah that is really friggin inappropriate and strange alright! Hilarious, that's sarge for ya.
kevin harlan, dick stockton, dave obrien, ron franklin, bobby murcer,
john sterling, dan shulman, michael kay, gus johnson all have 1 thing in common they make games unwatchable all are terrible
He said that they'd "gotten a little plumper" as in "they have put on some weight"...
...and if some singer coming by sitting in your lap counts as a "lap dance", then Sarge has never really had a "lap dance."
