Wow, Kevin Harlan must have pissed someone off this week....
Yay for Mr shulman doing the New Orleans/Spurs game but why do the have to put him with burk I know somewere theres a better Basketball anylist than her
3:30 p.m.- LA Lakers @ Utah (Game #4, ABC)
Sun. May 11
3:30 p.m.- LA Lakers @ Utah (Game #4, ABC)
Shulman and Burke work well together but....
The Spurs/Hornets is being treated by TNT with Albert and Miller while ESPN puts in their lower team.
Game 4 Utah/LA will be Mike Tirico, Hubie Brown, and Lisa Salters

100% agree: Dan Shulman might be the best all-purpose PbP man ESPN has, but he's relegated to the #3 NBA crew. I guess they couldn't pry Tirico from his wildly entertaining show*cough*during the week. With the impending defections/firings (Jackson, Carlisle, Anthony), this might be an extended trial run for Shulman & Burke, in case she has to move up to the #2 crew.
Burke shooting up to #2 is pushing it.
I'd make it so it's Breen/Van Gundy
Shulman/Barry or Burke
Tirico/Brown

ESPN usually specializes in hiring the first fired coach or retired player. Since Chris Webber is at TNT, maybe they could give Isiah Thomas a try in the studio.

//afraid they might actually do it
I certainly hope the Lakers/Utah are playing on Sun, the 11th, because if not, they're screwing Boston/Cleveland and not giving them any rest. Stern likes to make sure his boy Kobe is rested, doesn't he?
I thought the same thing about Burke going into game 6 of the Cavs fist-fucking of the Wizards, but I thought that she held her own and didn't give off any Pam Ward-type vibes.
Now all she needs is an agent to convince her to change her first name.
Hortense Burke? Edwina Burke?
Doris Burke (New Orleans at San Antonio) makes my ears bleed. Simply awful.
They're sending fucking Dick Stockton to Cleveland/Boston? You gotta be kidding me.
+1 for Danny Shulman calling two games this week though. Between his college hoops, MLB, and NBA work, I truly think he might be the best announcer in the business right now. I know he hasn't done the sport, but they should convince him to do some high profile college football as well.
