The Bears Decide To Wake Up And Make The Playoff Just A Bit More Interesting

Monday, December 22, 2008

The Bears played three and a half quarters of just flat out terrible Football, but somehow managed to pull out a win. After a Matt Forte TD to tie the game, Will Blackmon returned the following kickoff to the 50, but an Adrian Peterson late hit gave the Packers the ball at the Bears' 45 yard line.

After a first down and a few runs, the Packers had a chance for the win with a 38 yard Mason Crosby FG. The Bears blocked it, sent the game into overtime (after a coin toss off the head of Urlacher), and proceeded to keep their Playoff dreams alive with a 47 yard drive and a game winning Robbie Gould FG....

This season just gets more and more ridiculous each week. The Packers should have won that game by twenty, but the Bears would not be denied. And with that we bid adieu to the 2008 season of Monday Night Football. Try not to cry.

Why is Korny so shocked that the Bears make a living on defense? In case he hadn't noticed....it gets cold in Chicago after October. And windy on the lakefront. Shocking that the winningest franchise in NFL history would build toward their strengths. It's Un-Be-Lievable!

Tony Kornheiser has the uncanny ability to say what we're all saying..

Tony K's constant ripping of Kyle Orton is nauseating. In case he didn't notice, KO's less talented Bears are 9-6, while Aaron Rodgers more talented Packers are 5-10.

He's Mr. Kornheiser
His shtick is old
Favre, bad jokes, exaggeration
Complains about the cold
They call him Kornheiser
The broadcasts he touch
Sucks so bad in his clutch
It's too much

The only person in that stadium last night who is worse at their job than Tony is Mike McCarthy who should be fired yesterday. How can that team have 10 losses?

The reason why the packers have lsot 10 games this season has nothign to do with Mike McCarthy, It has to do with their horrendous defense. And Tony Kornhiser is right about Kyle Orton, He sitnks. The Bears are 9-6 not because of their offense, but istead their defense. That was evident last ngiht when the defense kept that game at least close enough so their hitious offense could do something, but even with their defense's help, Orton kept trying to lose it by throwing stupid interceptions.

The Pack have like 6-7 losses by 4 or less. That's terrible.
