Dave Pasch Is An Early Candidate For A Post Season Pammy

Thursday, December 25, 2008

I'm wating until the end of all the Bowl Games to come up with a list of quotes for you to vote on, but Dave Pasch had one last night that just has to be highlight on Christmas Day. Instead of a Christmas Eve miracle, Pasch decided to give us a Christmas Eve "Golden Shower! Via Sports Rubbish....

"Christmas in Honolulu, always beautiful, but we do have a golden shower here."- Dave Pasch

Merry Christmas, everyone!

My wife and I were watching when he said it ... we just looked at each other with the "did I just hear that?" look on our faces! Then we started thinking of other similar faux pas he could say ... "Is that Notre Dame band member playing a brown trombone?" etc.

While Dave Pasch in my view is one of ESPN's better PbP guys, that quote is just too funny and yeah, I think we have an early leader for the Post-Season Pammies. That is until January 1st when Musburger takes 3 shots before taking the mic. All bets are off then.

Dave Pasch is a great announcer, and is young enough where he'll probably become one of the top tier broadcasters in the years to come. That said, that statement is quite embarrassing. The beauty of live TV!

I don't get what the big deal is here, that is probably Jimmy Claussen's nickname.

Former Damon 'The Dog' Perry update man Dave Pasch is one of the up-and-coming broadcasters, along with Carter Blackburn and Jeanne Zelasko.
Wait, what?

I'm sure he realized as soon as it came out of his mouth that it was a mistake. He's young enough to know what a golden shower actually is.
